Mine is about to get cut as it is driving me absolutely nuts. I keep having to put it up for work, then take it down when I put on my hard hat. Don't freak out guys, it isn't getting cut short... exactly, just shorter. And its going darker again. I go light in the summer, darker in the winter.

My fave hair length is mid back.......easiest to care for and most versatile (yes, I often put it up in that dreaded bun for work or tuck it through a ball cap for day). Plus most guys seem to prefer it long, as well. These days I keep it layered, which I find is a softer, more fashionable look.......mostly leave it natural, which is to say curly. I often get compliments on my hair from both men and women.

Luckily for me, even though I am over 50, I still have my natural colour, so I just have blonde streaks added to brighten it.

It's funny, cause when I was younger, I always thought I would have to cut my hair short, when I got older, but now that I am there, I have had to re-think this. A couple years ago, when I accidentally fried my hair (trying to straightin it), I got it all cut off, but I have been slowly growing it back, cause it just feels more sexy.

If your asking how to put up a new pic .......go to your main profile page and click on the link images then click browse on that page and select a picture...then click upload pic.....its pretty easy to do and self explanatory.

There are several threads on hair styles so rather than start yet another, I will post my query here, it seem the most relevant thread.

With respect to the people you might be interested in romantically, do you have a preference for hair length, long, medium, short,... and why?

Personally, I am most attracted to women with short hair. Sure, long hair is nice to look at, and I do appreciate the work and care it took to get looking real nice. It reminds me of the "Show and Shine" events where people with polished cards show them off. Nice to look at but perhaps not so practical.

Short hair appeals to me, because its wash-n-wear, you don't have to take an hour to decide what kind of "do" to fix up before you head out from home, and when you do out its not going to ruined by some wind or rain or sweat.

Long hair can be an annoying distraction in the bedroom too.

There are lots of women that are very attractive with short hair and I'd love to see more woman adopt this style.

Hmmm! That's debatable... I would not mind being with a man who has very long hair. I think it would be very sexy, anytime, anywhere ... especially clean, shiny hair.

I have long hair. All it takes is a twist twist clip. Done, up and out of the way. I can't stand hair in my face. Thats why i keep it long...so easy to clip up.

What hair are we talking about? Clean and neatly trimmed for the bikini, long and neatly worn for the head.

I am not attracted to men with long hair. I like the clean cut look. I like stylish cuts .

On women - well some wear short well and some wear long well but I think after a certain age long looks wrong.

NO preference per se....it's attitude that counts....

ahhh, "hair" ..... a topic I like
Hair: the abundance of it ... or the lack of it ... is the first thing I
notice upon another person.
Specifically on men: clean, and long. Any colour.
I bypass men's profiles ~~ with their heads shaved

Couldn't care less if it's short or long.
Clean and brushed is a requirement.

Hard to believe since women are usually good with this but I've met a few
(not on pof) who, I'm assuming, never heard of shampoo.

I did meet 1 lady who told me she didn't own a hair brush.
This can't be normal?????

eww!
reminds me of last xmas... sitting at a sports pub with my former boss for some brew.. looked over to the kitchen area where I see this guy, cute as a button, who cooked our appetizers bopping around to this great song as if no one was watching..
he saw me watching
we laughed
later we shot all pool and had fun
after a good game of "kicked his ass" pool he came to give me a hug
and the smell!!!! ohhhhhhhhhhhhh the smell... from his Rastafarian hair !!!!!!
**barfs***
such a waste of the cute as a button-ness
*shakes head*

No preference for me. Long or short. Ones hairstyle should suit the shape of their face.

Has anyone noticed how "Long" hair on females is defined differently than long hair on males? Females seem to define long hair as anything past their chin, where as on males, anything that is longer than than the length of their fingers.

I did meet 1 lady who told me she didn't own a hair brush.

Wow. That would make more sense if she had like a buzz cut.

What? Doesn't anyone prefer active, wash 'n go, frizzy, messy, however-long-it-grows hair?

(sigh) maybe its another three years on pof for me...

I must have had 5 inches taken off today - funny - it seem to look the same though. (?_)

EDIT: Maybe that was the 5 inches I kept sitting on lol

depends on the lady - shape of her face/head and her lifestyle

I've grown mine out to save money and have heard comments ranging from 'beautiful' to 'long hair on old ladies looks stupid'. C'est la vie
