But I also have a thing for girls who work out and put effort into their bodies, so like I said, I go a few ways. Thats in a perfect world though, and the world isn't perfect, but thats my IDEAL.

I'm 5'6 1/2 And I'm chunky. But, every guy I've been with says I'm absolutely adorable, cute, charming, sweet, sexy, seductive..so on and so forth.

When I was in school, I got bugged for being skinny, which i was; and i hated it.I think of being called skinny as an insult!!!! I have muscles; but am still very feminine. If a guy doesn't like that, tough!!!

*Ideal Weights according to the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company tables (1983)
Calculating Your Frame Size Following is the method the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company used to calculate frame size:
Extend your arm in front of your body bending your elbow at a ninety degree angle to your body so that your forearm is parallel to your body.
Keep your fingers straight and turn the inside of your wrist towards your body.
Place your thumb and index finger on the two prominent bones on either side of your elbow, then measure the distance between the bones with a tape measure or calipers. Compare to the chart below. The chart lists elbow measurements for a medium frame - if your elbow measurement for that particular height is less than the number of inches listed, you are a small frame - if your elbow measurement for that particular height is more than the number of inches listed, your are a large frame. Elbow Measurements for Medium Frame Men Elbow Measurement Women Elbow Measurement 5'2" - 5'3" 2-1/2" to 2-7/8" 4'10"-4'11" 2-1/4" to 2-1/2" 5'4" - 5'7" 2-5/8" to 2-7/8" 5'0" - 5'3" 2-1/4" to 2-1/2" 5'8" - 5'11" 2-3/4" to 3" 5'4" - 5'7" 2-3/8" to 2-5/8" 6'0" - 6'3" 2-3/4" to 3-1/8" 5/8" - 5'11" 2-3/8" to 2-5/8" 6'4" 2-7/8" to 3-1/4" 6'0" 2-1/2" to 2-3/4"

you are not slightly overweight, you are overweight. Now you are saying you are average? No sorry, you are lying to yourself ad other POF'ers and you are what all those posts are about, I am a few extra lbs, because its only a few, meaning i'm a tiny bit chubby because I can't wear a bikini. Marilyn monroe is not skinny by all means but she had a whittled waist and please remember a size 16 was like a size 8, which would still be big in the movie star era now. That is the only thing your right about. I'm not meaning to be mean but I hate when people make excuses for themselves.

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 8/2/2007 4:31:22 PM | I'm a fairly athletic guy. It does not come naturally to me. I work at it and enjoy doing the work, or should I say play. When I read thin and athlectic on this site, I hope they are telling the truth. When I read average. . .I think dress size 12,14,16, maybe 18. I read e-mails and posts here that say the average American women is a size whatever (about 14) That's all well and good, but we all look for things to do with our partners. Activity/sports are a few of the things I find I need in life. If I read thin or athletic ,and in interests I see tennis, golf, working out, bike rides, etc. , I think that person and I have a starting point. If I read eating out, cooking, gardening, and spooning, I think coach potato. If they say a few extra pounds, I think 40 extra pounds or more. Combine that with no picture, and I think 70 extra pounds or more. These are not always true guidelines, but it seems to be more often true than not. So for me, if I read a few extra pounds, it might as well say unemployeed, homeless, smoker.
I'm not the perfect catch either. It's not like 25 year old models are breaking my door down. Why is that???? I'm 50, we have nothing in common, and I'm not rich! They have standards that I don't meet. Will I loose sleep over it? No! So anyone out there that is "A few extra pounds" be happy, but your not for me. We would not be happy together.

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 8/2/2007 4:54:29 PM | | For a women, I'd say give her 100 lbs for the first 5' and an extra 5 lbs for every inch over the 5 foot mark. So if you're 5'4" your ideal weight should be 120 lbs. I'd give women some leeway of 10 extra pounds in excess body; however, any more than that and you're likely overweight in my eyes. Your goal of 130 lbs is reasonable. | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 8/2/2007 10:04:05 PM | | Well... I am exactly 5' tall, and I weigh 185. I am a size 16/18 and proud of it! I never have problems with men finding me attractive. It would seem for every 1 man who doesnt find me attractive just because I am a bigger girl, that there are 4 that do find me attractive. I am very curvy, big busted, strong legs, and curves in all the right places! lol. I am proud to be a bigger girl, and if guys dont like it, then they dont have to date me. I wouldnt even date a guy who "settled" for me, because there are lots of guys who wouldnt mind being with me. Its just them I dont like ... lol | |

I have dated large men and small men...That wht this girl likes....as for you guys like me like I am. I am not changing for you. Be happy with how God made you. This world would be a really boring place if we all looked alike. I have enough experience behind me to look past the package, Some of us have a little more packaging material others just need to add more bubble wrap, All is ok. thin, averge or overweight BEAUTY IS IN THE EYES OF THE INDIVIDUAL. PS i AM SHORT, FAT AND BALD LOL sometimes mistaken for tall, dark and lanky.

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 8/3/2007 7:13:34 AM | | Hi I'd just like to add to this, I'm 6ft tall and naturally slim, a size 10 UK and weigh just under 10 stone, I struggle to put on weight even though I do try. I've been to the doctors countless times to be told I'm healthy and nothing to worry about. Not all of us can pile on the pounds to get all the curves but I've never had any complaints. I'm not boney just slim. | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 8/3/2007 10:57:44 AM | being a bisexual female, i'm 5'8'' and i weigh anywhere from 129 to 134 after a night of drinking or weight lifting. i would want a woman to be aroung the same.
i make such a big stink about my body and i don't want someone who doesn't care about that. i care more about a woman's shape than her weight or slightly being overweight, as long as its smooth and tight.
i hate being tall. i'm almost 5'9'' and its rediculous. i don't mind a man being shorter than me, but being short period. thats a big problem. almost all of the short men i've ever wasted time on were ****es pms'n. never again.

Why would be "proud" to be overweight? Was eating alot of fried chicken that big of an accomplishment?

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 8/3/2007 11:05:35 AM | | It wasent meant to be funny. It was meant to make a point. The only things someone can be logically proud of are things they've had to work towards, like a degree or an olympic medal. Unless shes naturally skinny and shes gorged herself for a year then she really has no reason to be proud of being overweight, and even then I don't consider abusing your body to be something positive... | |

Maybe she's proud of being just who she is? In this day and age I thought loving yourself unconditionally was a good thing.
Or maybe she's proud she's not a 20/22? and what on earth makes you think it was fried chicken that got her there? Who says she's abusing her body? Just because she's overweight? Maybe it's not within her control, there are tons of medical disorders that cause people to gain weight or have troubles losing it.
Or maybe she's proud of not being an ***hole like some of the other posters on here.
