| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 4/26/2009 4:36:28 PM | This is why I even list my actual weight in my ad... so that if its a problem, I don't have to hear about it. My body is my body, and if a guy accepts it great. If not, then he needs to move on to someone slimmer.
Like most women I am working on losing some weight, but like most humans I also love food so it's always an ongoing battle. Personally, I don't care what the guy weighs. I've dated some very overweight guys. But if my weight is going to be an issue for him, then I'd rather he not contact me in the first place.

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 4/26/2009 8:07:15 PM | I notice how nearly all the mean comments on this thread are directed at skinny women (not saying everyone is stating their preferences in a rude matter, certainly not -just talking about the language that /some/ people are using ("break her in two" "if I wanted a skeleton I'd get one in the science lab" "not a real woman" etc.)
How is that a positive development, eh? Is that better than making fun of overweight people? Why is that more acceptable? Umm... cuz I think they're both pretty incredibly sad.
And yeah, models in the 50s were generally more curvaceous than fashion models today, but most were still what most people today would consider "thin" or "athletic".

i need someone on my level. 5'7 or 5'8 and about 120-130 lbs. was never too much really into petite. i can't have have a woman who is heavier than me, unless pregnant.
|
| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/1/2009 10:20:14 PM | | i actually prefer short girls with some extra meat on them. i have never been all that concerned with weight and "hotness". as far as im concerned its the inner beauty of a person that ppl should be lookin for. | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/1/2009 11:05:40 PM | I like my women kinda plump.
Not like grossly obese but chubby.
As far as height, too short is inconvenient, you can't put your arm around her without squatting.
Too tall and sex feels like WWF wrestling.
|
| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/1/2009 11:14:33 PM | O.K. so I guess I am to short for most guys. 120 lbs. I am considered petite. I prefer that.
I can take down the best of them!!!! lol

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/1/2009 11:20:49 PM | Well, from the comments posted in this thread I do not want average: I'm more of an athletic/slender woman preferring man. I like a woman with some meat on her bones from muscle and sinew, in a toned feminine manner. (Hey, I like a little muscle definition in a woman - sue me). Besides not being attracted to "average" or above, it is also not healthy.
As for height, I find ther is something intriguing about being able to look a woman in the eyes. Even though the average height for women of a certain age is 5'4".
So, that puts me down for average height and above paired with less than average weight and below for body mass.
TK {if you look like a tomato when dress in red, we're probably not a good match}
|
| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/1/2009 11:35:55 PM | 5'4 is fine I was thinking like 4'10 in the "too short" category
I dated a girl that was 4'10 I felt like I should hold her hand while crossing the street. lol

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/2/2009 4:15:33 PM | | I like all body types, but i especially love curves, and tall, not too skinny. I had a friend that was 6' tall, big curves(breasts, hips and butt) and not so skinny. I loved it! I also love women that are below 5' tall and skinny or petite, toned, tiny. One extreme to the other i suppose, but i don't just have one type that interests me. | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/3/2009 3:03:17 PM | Miss. Manroe was NOT plus sized. Anyone with OK vision can see that she clearly slim but had an hour glass figure. She was NOT a size 15 by any means. My personal definition of curvy is of a woman who is SLIM, in shape but has either an our glass or pear shaped figure. Curvy meaning skinny but has banging booty and thights to go with it.

Anyways I like my men fairly inshape..... anything from average to fit.

If you mean Marilyn Monroe, then she definitely WAS plus sized because I believe she was a size 14 - and plus size models start at size 14.
My personal experience is that men prefer chubby girls. Chubby and short. I am by no means skinny - I am athletic. But I find that most men (at least those I met) seem to be threatened by athletic women. Dunno. I never wanted to arm-wrestle my partner so I really don't understand it.
|
| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/3/2009 3:43:56 PM | | I find that women who are average or heavier(or even thinner) who want bigger males tend to be self conscious about their bodies and want someone bigger to feel secure and thus attracted to them. I've had a date like this where she was really tall and amazon built, not fat at all, sexy in fact. But she didn't feel comfortable around me being lighter than she was, so she dumped me. So it looks like it goes both ways. I think the thinner males have it worse than the slightly overweight females. | |

That does not look like the body of a size 14 woman :)

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/3/2009 6:39:44 PM | | What guys like depends on the guy just like what women like depends on the woman. I have had guys anywhere from rail thin to body builders to big men hit on me and want to get with me. Same goes for height. Anywahere from 5'2" to 6'11". It's as varied as anything else. Som men love my curves and some men want a slender woman. Whatever works. It's a matter of liking what you have and working with it. The only key is to find someone who likes what you are working with and you like what they are working with. no magic formula involved. | |

I like this, I like that, I want it in this colour, and that shape, and with these added features, and I want the ability to return it if it has any decernable dents....
I sit here shaking my head and trying to not be a hypocrite, because we all have our preferences, but really people.... where is the "character"???
I thought I had a type, until I met another type... and then I am sure another type will be attractive to me too. Diversity.... it's the beauty of being human.
|
| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/3/2009 7:33:18 PM | Fa que, I TOTALLY agree. It's borderlining on the pathological here. I mean how narcissistic is it going to get around these parts?
I'm going to assume that many here are not looking for love or anything like it. So many have specific physical traits they are looking for, it's not a wonder why so many lack the depth to actually make it happen.
While I understand that we all have something that makes us tick purely on a physical level, there is so much more to a person than their body and how it's shaped, colored and handled.
I don't have a type myself. While there are certainly things I can appreciate about a man (good hygiene, sound health and such) I've been surprised many times by the types of men I have felt drawn to despite their lack of the features I normally thought I required to feel attracted.
Character means so much more than any physical aspect of a person to me.

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/3/2009 9:36:16 PM | | I like my girls average, around 5'6, 110 lbs. Yes that's the real average, it's just be skewed upward each year by the fatties. | |
|
| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/4/2009 1:47:45 AM | | From half a world away you look fine here down under , average is heavy , a few extra pounds is obese some honesty would be good , but it's fun meeting and greeting cheers all martin | |
|
| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/4/2009 8:08:05 AM | | I think everyone wears it differently. a 5'5" woman who weighs 140 can look a variety of ways depending on her shape, and whether she works out or not, that is why telling someone your actual weight is misleading. | |
