was wondering what kind of girls do guys like. Do they mind if girls are thin or overwieght or just inbetween. I am 5'2 and 140 pound. I think i am kind average. I am working out for lent and hope to get down to 130. Do guys really mind the size of the women or the height (i hate being short).
yes, guys mind. i like mine to be skinny or average sized. i find fat people disgusting.
being short isn't a big deal. i think most guys don't mind petite women.
at 5'2? yeah, you need to get down to 100-110 lbs. i only got 10 pounds on you and i'm 9 inches taller and a man with much higher muslce mass.

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/4/2009 9:35:16 AM | | I've been with women of all types. I am not overly picky about it, as long as they are relatively fit. Fitness is important to me, and good healthy eating habbits. I used to be really big and fat in highschool, and lost a lot of weight. I lean towards women that are healthier so that I don't have any bad influences on my own health. Height doesn't really matter at all to me. I've dated women 4'10" to 6'3". | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/4/2009 9:49:56 AM | | Its crazy as I am such a unique body type- my ethnic background makes me broad shoulder and tall. My training makes me big- men love me or hate me- sometimes for the completely wrong reasons- drives me nuts when the only thing they either love or hate is simply the way I look... | |

| Short is CUTE! Posted: 7/4/2009 6:33:18 PM | we can have a quickie in a car eayser when we fall we don't have far to fall play hide and seek real well the guys feel more protective(this works for me) from my experience i am 5'2 the guys im around really like im short, and sometimes are amazed at my climbing abilities when the dishes are on the second shelf.

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/4/2009 10:16:15 PM | Weight isn't really the issue for me.. Its body fat or cellulite that bothers me.. I can't stand it, I would not **** it with a mouse, I would not **** it in a house.. etc..
in my opinion 5'2 and 140 pounds is overweight (not to put you down) .. Ive dated girls who were that weight at 5 foot 8 and they still had a bit of "love handle" going on.. I guess I just like them thin or muscular, but not too muscular.. Jamie Easton at the most.

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/21/2009 4:07:01 PM | | I have to put my two cents in after reading some of these rediculous comments... Two people can be the same height and weight as each other and look totally different. Extra weight looks different on everyone... As long as you're happy with yourself, it doesn't matter if others aren't :) | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 8:15:47 AM | This crap about " as long as you're happy with yourself" is a death sentence... Aren't 33% of Americans overweight now? Look to your left, now look to your right, holy crap! They're both fat and so are you! I'm sorry if I offend some people, but being seriously overweight is not acceptable. 10 to 15 pounds is normal. We live in a society where we don't have to work too hard and everything is convenient and abundant. Therefore we have to exercise a little self-discipline. Gasp! Oh no! The dirty words... exercise, self-discipline (hope that doesn't get my post removed) Heart disease, diabetes, etc.. this generation and the obese children they're raising are gonna die young. Oklahoma is one of the worst. There are 4-5 fast food restaurants at every major intersection. When I was a kid there was maybe two in the whole town and you had to ride your bicycle to get there! It was special to go to McDonald's; not what you had for dinner every night. Convenient. Nobody has to cook, "we can pick it up on the way home, plop our large asses on the couch and watch Talent or No Talent" or whatever the f*** is on! Look, now i'm getting irritated. A few pounds is not a big deal. I thinks some women look good that way. Really good on a few. It really is how the body carries it. That's the key though- are you carrying it or is it "hanging off of ya"? Again, sorry if I hurt some feelings. Go ahead and have another box of Lil' Debbies and wash it down with a 2 liter of soda. You'll feel fine. | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 8:42:06 AM | | esperanto67, I have a thing or two to say to you.....First lets dicuss illness and medication and what it does to the body. Yes, I agree that some people are overweight because they have eating disorders, however, that it a standarization that is not good. I was on Prednisone for years and I gained so much weight. I was over 300 lbs at my heaviest and it was through no fault of mine. I worked out at the gym four to five times per week, walked behind a lawn mower (commerical that moved) everyday as we owned a lawn service, and dieted and never lost a pound. So now that I am off of the Prednisone (a steroid) I am slowly loosing the weight. But, thanks to the medication I now have Congestive Heart Failure which limits how much exercise I can do. I walk on my tred mill and I swim, but my body looks horrible. After all of this and then I find people like you who judge me by my weight and have no f....g idea what the h...l they are talking about!!!! Don't judge people until you've walked in their shoes!! | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 1:20:43 PM | Being overweight doesn't necessarily mean you are unhealthy. I walk nearly every day and can jog a couple of miles at 9:30 pace and I am 5'6 and 192. My blood pressure, cholesterol and heart rate are all well within the normal range. The BMI charts call me obese but not even many physicians would make that claim. My muscle mass and bone density are both high as I was a competitive distance runner in my teens and have worked out with weights and walked regularly for most of my adult life. You have to take factors like this into account. OK, as far as what I prefer... women my height or shorter who are slightly overweight. I suppose an ideal would be 5'3 and 150... | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 1:39:32 PM | I think most men are attracted to average, athletic or thin. I do think there are some insecure men out there that won't date women that are taller than they are. Of course the same can be said for women. There are many women that won't date men shorter than they are or when they have on their shoes.
I say make sure you post pictures. Head shots and full length shots. Make sure you keep them current. That is the best way for a guy to know if he is interested in your body type.

| Thin Overweight Average-don't worry be happy Posted: 7/28/2009 1:53:43 PM | I am very happy with my body. It has served me well, and never lets me down. I can carry my own weight on a chin up bar, and I fireman carry up to 195lbs without screaming for help for at least fifty yards (I have to be able to do this in order to keep my job). I get compliments from guys when I walk down the street, or at the gym. I am a happy woman who is morethan satified with my body. | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 1:57:14 PM | | It depends on the guy. I personally like taller, thin women. My ex was 5'9" and 120 lbs. She said she was 110 before having her daughter, but she looked good to me. | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 2:35:36 PM | I tell you what is frustrating on this website, and other Singles sites here is women who list themselves as average and they are clearly 25 + lbs over the ideal weight for their Height etc. You will even get some women who list themselves as Thin or Athletic, and they are FAR from it. Just because a Woman can still manage to ride a bike, play volleyball, or Tennis despite being 25 + lbs overweight does not mean they are Athletic Lmao. Denial is a ****, and sadly fat people are the Webster dictionary definition of Denial.
Some women ( guys also ) need to get it thru their head that FAT is FAT, and that's that. You can go get your nails done, and your hair done, and wear all the fancy clothes you can buy shoes etc but FAT is still Fat. A lot of women should take all that money they spend on manicures, pedicures or hair stylist, clothes etc, and get their ass in a Gym. I mean its not being superficial, FAT is gross and its unhealthy as hell for a man or a woman. People who are fat will make EVERY excuse in the book, but bottom line is they are to lazy, and unmotivated to get off their ass, and work out or exercise. They also have no self control or discipline when it comes to eating and all they eat is shit food all the time.
You have to love to main excuse always used by fat people like they never have any time to work out due to work or kids. That is a bunch of bullshit because I know MANY women who are married and have 2 or 3 kids and still work a day job. Everyone of them still walks or rides bike, and works out many times a week and have a fantastic body. It would be nice if women on this website would list themselves properly if your fat your not Thin, Athletic or even average. Average is around your ideal healthy weight for your height not 25 + lbs over it.
They lack of concern for their own bodies health and well being by Fat people is more disturbing than them brushing off people as being superficial about looks. You only get one body and it should be respected, because your body works as hard every day as your car or truck does on the road. Not everyone can be born with beautiful looks but a in shape healthy body can sure make up for lack of facial perfection. When your in shape body wise it tells others you take care of yourself and are motivated to look good and be healthy as well. Fat people are like excuse machines on Tilt like a pinball machine.

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 2:44:08 PM | | Do not kid yourself just because you say you are a little overweight but not unhealthy just because for now your blood pressure, and Cholesterol are both good. They can both go south in a Hurry and in the meantime being overweight is wrecking havok on the rest of your bodies functions and all your joints and back. Everyone who is overweight by 20 lbs or more eventually ( some faster than others ) the blood pressure goes up and Cholesterol goes thru the roof and other things start to go wrong. Being overweight puts 3 times the strain on your joints, back etc, and makes every functioning system of your body have to work 3 times as hard daily. Its an absolute medical fact that Obesity is the number one cause of health problems and most illnesses in the world. | |

That confuses me too. I'm 5'5 and 130 lbs, which I figured is an average weight for my height, so I put my body type as Average. But then I have seen pictures on here of women a lot heavier than me who also have Average down for their body type. I do remember reading somewhere that the "average" woman in America is something like 5'4 and 160 lbs. So there is some difference between being an average weight for your height, or being of average weight compared to the rest of the country. That can be real confusing.

And if someone lies about their weight, yes that is an issue. But how dare you judge everyone who is overweight as not getting to the gym and working out. You have no f.....g idea what it is like to go around being ill and taking medicine that makes you fatter and fatter everyday and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. Want to trade places???? People like you really disgust me!!!

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 4:07:07 PM | Thanks for the warning, dynamic... but I used to be a competitive powerlifter in the 220lbs. weight class. My cholesterol then was 250, my blood pressure was borderline high (135/90) and I wasn't able to run at all. Just dropping from 218 to 192 has lowered my cholesterol to under 200, brought my BP back to normal and my resting pulse is typically in the 60s... I know it sounds like a cop-out but muscle mass and bone density do count for a lot of weight in a individual used to resistance training. I know I am not obese despite the charts saying I am. | |

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 4:20:37 PM | | From my experience I can say that most men are attracted to fat short women. | |
|
| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 4:27:46 PM | I have a simple formula for women. 5' tall is 100lbs + 5lbs for each additional inch.
So 5'2" should be around 110lbs. Most guys like short girls.

Really? Where are you getting this data from?

| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 4:49:07 PM | I think to each their own and everyone's preferences change and depend on attraction and a lot of other factors! just like some like it hot, cold, blonde, brunette, redhead! there quite probably are no set "rules" about this. sometimes it's also just a "want" - I've actually had a man tell me: "well, I just wanted a redhead" ... the previous one was a blonde and during one of our break-ups, it was a latina with dark brown/black hair! I've been dumped for bigger boobs!
it all comes down to chemistry!

I'm 5'9 and according to you I should weigh 145 pounds. At 170 pounds I am thin. If I lost 25 more pounds I believe that I would be a skeleton.
My boyfriend is happy with the way I look. He loves me for me, regardless of the number on the scale.

You believe you are thin. I am 5' 10" and the maximum healthy weight before going into the "overweight" category is 168.
I weigh 154, and I have an hourglass figure. I looked like a skeleton at 130. So unless your bone-density is ridiculously high (I have a high bone density), you couldn't possibly be smaller than I am, as I am an inch taller than you.
|
| Thin Overweight Average Posted: 7/28/2009 5:56:39 PM | 5' 10 3/4" and 143 I was about 123 before I had my first child. I went down to 117. Now that was skeletal! I had all day sickness.
Truthfully, if I would hit 150 lbs, I would feel incredibly fat. 147 is about as high as I will go. But that is me. I was always thin. Now I try to do yoga every day to stay healthy. I don't weigh myself. I let the doctors do that. (I have naturally high cholesterol, so I have to go in every six months. I don't want to do the meds ever again. I won't go into my car accident...)
I don't consider myself thin as I wear 12/14 - XL tops.
My bmi is average. Unless you are a body builder, bmi's work pretty good to judge where you are. Average American isn't a good judge.
