It seems logical for me, and I'm sure you won't get too many disapproving glares form others. This formula is commonly used by Jewish and Muslim matchmakers, (a cultural thing). ex. He's (40) 40/2 = 20 + 7 (27 years) minimum age. | |

All my life (except once) I have dated guys younger that me. I now believe it may have been some sort of mothering or possibly a control trip, i.e.money etc.
Here's something to ponder(well for me anyway), tell me if this makes sense to anyone....when I date a younger guy I should feel 'older'(which was very good when I was very young, and yes I dated guys in their 30's when I was still in my late teens, but wouldn't it make sense that now that I am older, a guy older than me would help me to feel younger??
I think so I really do....it's a maturing thing, in reverse, kinda, does anyone understand what I am trying to get at?

when I was 30, she was 23 (some would say not so bad)

As for the topic. 19 would be too young for me. I don't think my brain could stand it, esp if the person is anything like what comes to mind when reading babybules' profile. I worked recently where the average age of the women was in their early 20's - much eye candy, but not much I could discuss with them. Since coming here I've been fortunate to meet people closer to my own age and the difference is quite refreshing.

Posted: 2/20/2005 7:56:21 AM | I noticed the earlier post mentioning the 13 and 14 yearolds and wanted to clear up my statement regarding dating soemone less than half my age. I was 43 she was 21, no pedophelia and I couldn't fathom being with anyone underage. If I were a parent of early teen children such as Pandora and found that my daughters were with a guy my age his least worry would be one of semantics I can assure you.
