Well I must admit that I am perfect in everyway so ladies look no further ha ha!! So for a perfect male I must meet a perfect female..What im trying to say is no one is perfect and I think most women know this , they want to men men who are honest and treat them right, that ss probably the most important thing..If someone was perfect they would be boring and lifeless so in fact that would make them not perfect!!

Im going to tell you and you might not agree, but then who cares... im not out to please anyone ...but the people I love ... now to get to your queston. when you go to the store to but fruit, do you pick out the peices that are already rotten ? enough said : much the same way with men, I would not , given my choice, I want a man .... even a man with baggage can still be a man .............. stop feeling sorry for yourself, and maybe some of that baggage will dissappear ........... every one has baggage, were all human " at least I still would like to think so, having three x husbands doesn't make me a bad person, it makes them stupid... i set that baggage to the curb along time ago ... and refuse to appologize for their stupidity ... or even claim it as my baggage ... get it? | |

I made no projections and I am not sure what you are talking about. I still have six pages of received mail and many more pages of the early messages have been deleted automatically by the system.
There was a large surge of mail in the first month or two - but they are still coming in at a steady clip.
I have read many POF posts and confirming reply posts on various threads stating it is the norm that men receive only a handful of unsolicited emails from women even over a year's time. And that letters men send to women go unanswered most of the time. Many POF women have similar stories.
I send very few letters to women and answer very few.
My profile generates scores more mail than the average male POF profile and my profile is nothing but male fluff - no substance - just a pretty face and a silly article.
Therefore I believe what I have said is revealing and tells the secret for attracting the attention of a LOT of POF women.

You sound now contradicting your prior post, in which you had made more confident affirmations to big numbers and talks… and by this one now you seem backing off to your little inner circle box and thread froggy whiner … even thou, you continue to pretend to know numbers to justify your theories… so, where did you get all these numbers and counts from? Do you know the exact number of the “average” male profiles, on which you have based your comparisons?
Speak for yourself… lost in semantics and basic counting… not worth the comment.

Many have contacted me on here, and after the initial message they all send saying 'Hi' and that is all they say, that is all they ever say.
It is extremely easy to attract women on here, as there are that many who will contact you; best thing is to write an honest profile about who you really are, include a photo of who you really are (not of tattoo's, cars, or other pieces of society) and you'll see an unbelievable amount of responses. A secret of online dating is to avoid the fake people who don't actually care about anything but getting as many 'fav's' as possible, all those people are, are folks looking for attention. If you are honestly looking for a real woman, show that you are a real man; the chicken heads will leave you alone, and you will not view the women here as kidding themselves, or dub them as looking for anyone but you. | |

I hate to say this, but that sounds incredibly naïve; you only need to barely skim the forums to see that's not the case.
Ideally, yes, I'd be very happy if that were true - but until pof can implement a checkbox on the search page that says "only show honest profiles with real photo", even the women genuinely interested in a relationship are going to have to deal with the overwhelming number of men available (which of course contains the requisite players/liars/cheats, etc).
However keep hope alive - if you're right we should see the forum traffic take a huge hit as people somehow find themselves almost exclusively contacting only people that won't cause pain down the line (and not repeatedly having the topics pop up that go along with it, of course).

JoeBob... you're not factoring in that forum posts increase email traffic... there must be way more lurkers than there are posters. I've always thought your review (yeah, I checked out your profile when you first started to post) was a particularly clever technique that stood out and left plenty of things as conversation starters. A "show how I think" rather than "tell who I am" (although I think how someone thinks is far more revealing about who they are). Wow. I'm disappointed to learn you blundered into it rather than the impressive manipulation I had interpreted it as (and given you credit for).
