| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 4/17/2009 7:23:20 AM | Well, it's like this. You have to dress a certain way so girls won't tell if you're a nerd. Don't talk about video games with dragons, wizards, knights, and other middie ages stuff etc. Unless the girls say they play video games, ask them what kind first and then tell them you favorite video games. Mine are racing games, mafia games, guitar hero and rock band. Girls don't mind about those games.
Another good one would be like this, try not to think, dress, act, be like Steve Urkel. You can talk about stuff like cars, music, politics (That's if they're into politics or if they in the same political party you're into.), movies (Depending on what kinds of movies) if they like to laugh, take them to the funnest movies you can find, tell them a funny joke to get them to laugh and comment them like you mean it. Don't tell them stupid lame pick up lines that don't make any sense.
When you're on a date with these girls, make sure they say "Thank you" when them out somewhere, be a gentleman such as opening the door for them on your car, open the door for them at alot of place, help them with their chair and make sure they thank you after the first date as they're about to leave. If they don't thank you, they're wasting your time. And that mean nothing is good enough for them.

People who refer to other people as NERDS in my own experience, are usually the types who are intimidated by people who they consider SMARTER than themselves. Also in my own experience, the people doing the name calling are always the ones in the group conversations who CAN'T keep up with the discussion. NERDS, if you will, are for the most part, also folks who have intense focus, and interest in whatever they are involved in. Some folks find that strange, but then again most of them can't read computer code, can't remember their favorite movies,or don't seem to be interested in much of anything important going on in the world. End of my rant, lol.

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 4/19/2009 8:51:57 AM | >I am a nerd and haven't have my first date yet(don't want it anymore) yet I seem to see on the net that other nerds claiming to have girlfriends. Call me a skeptic but I seem to see false truths. Btw, none of the local "fish" were biting before I turned 24. I think us single nerds should have a strike. "No computer fixing unless all the hot local females dump their boyfriends and go out with us nerds."
NEVER fix a computer for a girl you want to date or have sex with until AFTER you guys are already having sex and do it to be nice, not because you're trying to impress her. I personally never fix anyone's computer anymore, I tell them how to do it themselves or give them a friend's business card. It always turns out to be a nightmare, removing spyware and then having to explain how every problem they have for the next 3 months isn't something you did to their machine.
Yes, nerds get girlfriends. Feel free to ask me for some help, we all gotta stick together.

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 4/19/2009 11:30:21 AM | Sure, plenty of nerds have girlfriends.
Probably not the ones that boast about having girlfriends on the intarweb, though.
If you ever see a girl wearing a t-shirt that says, "Talk nerdy to me" -- take the bait, buddy.

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 4/19/2009 11:50:13 AM | I'm a computer nerd.
No, I don't have a girlfriend (at least not the type you're talking about in here) :)
(and no, not a nerd because I can't dress and lack social skills; I'm a nerd because my job is computer related, I have watched every episode of star Trek ever broadcast, read every Star Wars VI and beyond book ever written and most of the earlier ones (just not the jabba the hut ones or all the I-III era ones), can practically recite lord of the rings books (read the series 17 times), regularly win in risk, am comfortable in math, and actually love reading period, (own over a thousand books). Though I also shop, own over 80 pairs of high heeled shoes, love to watch (and can keep score when a team needs help) sports (especially baseball and football), was on the dance line in high school and am a lifelong pianist, not band member.
so maybe that makes me half a nerd?

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/3/2009 9:00:24 AM | I know plenty of nerds with girlfriends. Actually I know more married nerds than dating nerds. It honestly depends on how good they look and if they're willing to get treated like a doormat. I do know a few nerds that have other nerds and everything looks great, but for the majority I see the nerd getting the short end of the relationship stick.
My last ex had me over two weeks ago to repair her PC. I repaired it and literally 5 minutes later, she wanted alone time and wanted me to go. Ouch.
I'm a bitter nerd, I'm tired of doing everything for people.

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/22/2009 10:45:27 PM | Ya of course we do...i'm not the nerdist. But last gf always called me a nerd, never really realized guess I was too into my engineering studies, and because I wasn't the most social person. Maybe what sealed the was that I loved Battlestar Glattica and she didn't lol. BUt yes nerd need loving too, we're human just not the most social bunch of them. | |

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/23/2009 1:30:48 PM | | well, the nerds tend to get the best jobs, so if there are women that are that intelligent, they would give the nerds a chance. lol | |

That's what us gamers are known as among the jocks and drinkers- antisocial or weird. And yes, we do have a hard way to go, but the women we find- or atleast the ones I go for are less likely to be cheaters..... or at least that is the benefit of the doubt I like to give untill proven otherwise.

Even the Bill Gates of the world can find a woman. He's been married for about 15 years.
Bill Gates has Billions and Billions of dollars too.
would love the carl sagan voice on that

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/28/2009 10:27:42 AM | Went out with 8 girls since what?
Dude, if you are a Nerd, learn math.
And math is about numbers, probability, outcome.
Do you understand this sh it? Or you are going to hide under your own insecurities and fear or rejection.
Go out there and learn to get rejected. Go contact 100 women, all with totally different messages.
Go even hit on a girl with the most ridiculous of lines and see what happens. Get it out of your system and you will realize that you limiting yourself, it's all in your head.

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/28/2009 9:45:34 PM | Nerdy girls are so attractive!! Drooool.............
oh and yeah, these so called "Nerds" who claim they have girlfriends.... there isn't a solid way to find out unless you know them or meet them in person. But the idea isn't totally false either... I've seen many guys who look or seem.. "nerdy" yet have very beautiful girlfriends. I for one am jealous of them, hahah....

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/28/2009 10:23:38 PM | | My mother and I (don't laugh) actually had this conversation tonight. She actually looked up the definition of "nerd" in Websters Dictionary! It basically said a nerd is a mentally highly functioning individual who dresses slovenly and is socially inept. If you value yourself higher than that, call yourself an intellectual, not a nerd. And work out. An intellectual with an athletic, physical side has it all. | |

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/29/2009 3:27:53 AM | This is an old thread that is still super relevant. Nerds are like the herpes of the social world. Now that's a tall order to overcome, but there's no reason to whine or complain about the situation these days. It's beyond revenge of the nerds now. This is the age of nerds stickin' it to chicks in any hole they please. If you're a nerd, don't be a doormat to chicks. You're not helping your loser self get a girlfriend, and you're just making it harder for winners to nail that piece of a$$. Treat nerdism as a life-style choice, instead of a social stigma. Be proud of all the lame crap that you stand for. Have confidence in your chosen loser ways. Emulate those hard gangsta's livin' the thug life. Society looks down upon them too, but they don't care. They got their own style and swagger. Dude, they can score hunnies just as easily as they can get shot. | |

Nerds don't have sht! They come here and post "nice guy" threads, that's all they got. Jeeez! Bill gates...well not every nerd becomes Bill gates, nor becomes successful. Most get stuck in 9/5 jobs forever and usually have serious social problems.
Nerds have gfs ..... oh pleassseee...pfft ! All they have is the virtual porn and vaseline.... bah!

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/29/2009 8:33:15 AM | Some nerds do, most don't. No matter what you may have heard, the women who are are willing to even consider investing in a nerd are still in the minority. Never mind all the studies that show that nerds are actually physically active, generally smarter, less violent, more caring, make better lovers and better fathers because there are still way too many negative social stereotypes working against nerds for them to even matter. Video games still aren't recognized as respectable medium or a legitimate form of entertainment by mainstream media, fiction is considered weak escapism by the those with no imagination and intellectuality is often demonized to adhere for the lowest common denominators. The average girl was raised under these effects and is now very much set in her ways. They have different priorities and will avoid all things nerd like the plague without even thinking twice about it.

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/29/2009 1:17:12 PM | HEY! Screw all you pessimistic posters. You dumb freaks sound like the same folks who claimed the world is flat or said a black man would never become president. Nerds rule the world like sleeper terrorist cells. They're like a virus waiting to go pandemic on yo azz. I'm a big ole NERD myself, but I still see lots of action. The amount of poontang that comes my way is on par with others that don't don the nerd charm. I see other fellow nerds struggling to score with the b1tches and ho's, because while they're smart, they still don't have a clue. Put down that damn comic and study the sociological scene. Go out there and observe society all around you--in grocery stores, at restaurants, at bars, etc.. Study the behavior of them sluts and learn the ways of the pimp. Also, don't listen to these other low IQ hate-spewing idiots on here. They're struggling to get boyfriends and girlfriends just as much as you. The only difference between you and them is that nerds can look forward to a nice future while idiots are gonna suffer. In the very least, you're gonna experience a monotonic rise in your quality of life. These other fools will hit an inflection point trending downwards by their late twenties. | |

| Do nerds actually have girlfriends? Posted: 5/30/2009 2:11:54 AM | I do all that mess. I tell people rite out. Have you seen 40 year old virgin ? Yeah that's me minus the Virgin part.. D&D for 15 years now And all other nerd geek stuff. But I get date's It's just tough out there keep your head up and keep going! Maybe make some new friends. I found that my Dry times all came around when I got stuck in a rut and realised OH that's why I'm not getting dates Cause I haven't been going out and being Social ! ha
Long story short. You wont meet Anyone sitting at home in a dark basement.

For 30 some years, I was "single".
Met a woman and moved in with her.
Now I pay 90% of the bills, she doesn't work.
Am I screwed? lol. | |
