I'm again, also from the land of the navybean (haha! bet you didn't know where I live was famous for that too!) and peanuts.. lived here for 2 years, but before that I lived in...(shock horror!) Brisbane for some 24 odd years.
Anyways, I'm outta here before the laptop crashes on me... lol

| Anyone from Queensland Australia?? Posted: 9/23/2006 3:35:31 PM | Hi, I am from Toowoomba too. I am a single mum of 5 but the oldest has left home. The other kids are aged 8 down to 3. How r u going?
I know quite a few other single mums here too.
Used to go out on the town but got sick of the Shamrock where an aboriginal lady tried to pick me up!
Cheers, Carena | |

| Anyone from Queensland Australia?? Posted: 9/23/2006 3:51:38 PM | Hmmm, seems this Toowoomba lady left P.O.F. in May.
Someone tried to start a friendship group in Toowoomba last year but it didn't really work out. Maybe Toowoomba is too small for that type of group?
There's still no reason why singles can't get together here. Anyone agree?

| Anyone from Queensland Australia?? Posted: 11/23/2006 6:03:18 PM | So Toowoomba-ites, if we ever get it together to organise a get together for Brizzy or the Gold Coast, are you going to travel down to the big smoke for it?
Carena, if babysitting will be a difficulty, please feel free to get in touch with me - I have an 8 y o as well, and live not far from the city.
Ha - perhaps we could even organise a creche for those of us here with rugrats, as part of making it a more fun day or evening ... I know I'd really like to have the opportunity to get to meet some of the locals who frequent this forum anyway | |

| Anyone from Queensland Australia?? Posted: 12/20/2006 6:15:39 PM | Yep! I'm in Brissy, on the beautiful Redcliffe Peninsula. Now, I know, some of you are going to say "But that's not Brisbane". Well, by definition it is, as it's part of Greater Brisbane!
And I've gotta say to 'Sanity', what a small world! I have cousins in Tat and remember spending my school holidays 'down the road' in Dhurringhile (on a dairy farm, not the prison!!).
Beautiful part of the country, that's for sure! When I moved up here from Melbourne about 5 years ago, driving through Shep and Mooroopna was a bittersweet time, as I knew that where I was going meant I couldn't just jump in the car and drive there for the day any longer. At the same time, all the fond memories came flooding back!
