I,m a westy as well.hey thanks you guys for sending Vossy over to help get the west coasters going again. Ive never been to Queensland,but plan to come over this xmas for 2/3 weeks.Staying with a friend who lives in Toowoomba.Been googling the place to try and find out abit.How far is Toowoomba from the Brisbane airport? That trip will take you approx 2 hours driving ... i live in Toowoomba myself, having moved from Melbourne ... enjoy your trip at Xmas

hi I am from the Northside of brisbane been here now almost 10 yrs, an loving it , where else but queensland would you want to love, been to toowoomaba, nice place very much like Christchurch on NZ, but Brisbane has it all for me . new to the forum but nice to see so many friendly people,

Hello there I have recently moved to maggie island near townsville am finding it a bit lonesome and home sick for my home town on the central coast of nsw. I have very few female accquaintances....Most of the men here are either just tourists or taken.....not much goes on on this island...but it is a beautiful place on this planet to live.. I have a dillema whether to stay here or move back home.....maybe i should just toss the dice and let the universe decide....any comments please?

Debstar - Magnetic Island IS pretty insular. How about try a move to Townsville? Great climate, better employment opportunities, and it won't cost you much to move and try it. And the icing on the cake? The place is positively crawling with blokes ......LOTS of them.

Hey there, I live at the bottom of the range and work in toowoomba...the drive is a pain sometimes but driving home late is a great way to relax.
