Posted: 6/4/2005 9:54:13 PM | This Cat be Robb. I have tried the old standard ways and places of meeting people, all of which have problems of their own. Bars, even the so-called "meat markets" just don't work anymore as most who go there are either only interested in getting drunk or having a one-night stand. Nightclubs don't work as well anymore either as the majority of people who go there are already with someone else. The supermarker as a "pick-up" place stopped working back in the very early 80's at the latest. Amusement parks can be good for meeting someone...if you are a teenager. So, what does that leave us with...unfortunately, not much. Sure, you can pay for mail lists for people from other countries, but what if you prefer meeting someone close by. Pretty much, the only reasonable answer left is through sites like plentyoffish, the great majority of which also happen to charge what can amount to some very high prices. Ok, enough about that...a lilttle about me. I live in the South Bay area of the SF Bay Area, am an animal lover (especially cats), love watching movies, listening to music, enjoying nature (former Boy Scout...truth), SCUBA diving, and too many other things to list. Your best bet to know a little more about me is to read my profile, and if I sound like a possible interest to you, then by all means...go ahead and message me. I am one who always returns messages (well, maybe with the exception if I were to receive one that told me to...for example...go do something physically impossible...but I don't forsee that, hopefully).  | |
