Posted: 4/24/2008 9:10:06 PM | I have been in the gainesville Area for 2 tears and would like to Introduce myself here I am a former business owner I had a Gift Store in The Historic area Of Crystal River and after the 3 hurricanes and my father in ;law whom was falling all the time contributed to my decision to close the Business after the 3rd quarter with no profit I like many other businesses in the area had to close my doors after thaqt following christmas I decided to leave my wife whom was using drugs from the nurses chart where she worked she was fired for this ;later and she was drinking more. I was sober and trying to clean up my Life And I have been successful at that now I have been soher for over 2 1/2 years now It all ia in my past now My father in law passed away now and I was very sorrt to hear of that one of then last things he said to me when he was in the nursing home was to go ahead and leave get away from her and so I took his advice and I leftb with out anything even the clothes on my back and then when I went to eat with someone that was in recovery I saw that My clothes were being worn by people at the satore and I aked them where thay got the nice clothes theyb said They gotb them at the thrift store in thae town there and there are not many there. So I know where My clothes went to So Now I had an idea what had happened but one day I came home and she was buubering oin the middle of the bed and I tried to get her to get jelp but she refushed So I did whatb her dad suggusted and I left the house In didnt have any where to go except the place thatb were had rented to move into sfter we sold the house so I styed there until I was told that I couldnt stay there anymore and then My Sponser in AA drove me to gainesville and I was in the VA Hospital fpr 3 days after that I was pout up in the Hotal by the VA and after that I ended uo calleing my dad in atlanta and he came down to Gainesville to get me Thats a long story the point is that I have a new life now and I am still tring to build a network of suppoert which includes new friends as I did not know anyone when I came back to Gainesville and the only friend that I have right now Is my Best Friend and Roommate Melissa I have not met anyone else New and I have been divorced for almost 5 years now, Most of that time I was involved in getting my Social Security with the help of my VA Case Manager I had Brain Tumor Surgewry and I didnt have the support of my exwife only that of my parents whom drove down to Tampa Bay to the hospital in Tampa, Fl. that was avery sad time in my life and I have moved on from there, I am trying to meet new friends in gainesville And I have not made any new friends Yet My Best friend Melissa is moving out soon and I will be alone here so I am trying to meet new people in town to hang out with and have fun so that I dont get to feeling to comfortable at being at home here by myself. I am really good at geeting my suppiles and staying home I dont need much in the way of things and I can be comfortable right here, I want to get used to planing some things in irder to get out of the house and doing something on a regular basis and that would be fun and having fun doing it myself.

I know what its like when you have a BS job and a BS relationship and you're working for the mortgage company and the insurance company and your pita relations and you dont have time for yourself and just maybe you just got dumped , separated or even divorced and you dont even know how to go to the grocery store by yourself and even if you did you dont have time because you're working two and a half F'ing jobs for a miserable existance ! Yea Babee, just because you're stuck in chump change central floriduh does not mean you have to suffer ! at least not anymore !
Who you saving it for ~ if you wait too long there wont be anyone left who cares or who wants to see it, touch it, smell it or taste it ! Dont wait, dont wait, dont wait !
HEY ! I have died at least 6 times in this life ! The next one might be the last and I'm not going to wait for someone to give me permission to have some FUN !

I am here for find that "SPECIAL SOMEONE" and also to meet and make new friends. Living if Fort Lauderdale, it may be a little harder because most people move here from other areas on the country, stay for 2-5 years, get homesick and go home! YUK!
Anyway, I enjoy going to Concerts, Movies, Art Fairs etc. I hope to start Hosting FREE events. I have been here for 30+ years, so I know FUN things to do.
