I'm half IRAQOUS MOHAWK (WITH PAPERS TO PROVE IT, LOL) and half ITALIAN. I am back in college at NATIONAL COLLEGE, I used to do CONSTRUCTION since before time, LOL at least thats how it felt for 18 years. I D J, and played at being a security guard for a while. I'm ex Militatry, WHICH MEANS "EX" Don't ask me if I ran an O.D.A. LOL. I was OPS So I can't tell you anything, LOL . I am here because I want to find "FOREVER" I know thats probably asking too much in todays day and age, but you never know. | |

I've been on POF since December of last year...very little going on via the profile matching email/IM deal so figured I would finally check out the events section. I am 43, white, 200 proof Irish decent (100%). I've lived in Covington my whole life, but I get out as often as I can. lol I work in the plastics recycling business and I love my work. I'm looking to meet friends/dating while here. I am ex-Army, but also that's the most of that I can describe here. There's the little bit about me. Nice to meet you all. Posted: 11/13/2008 9:23:04 PM | i realize that the subject doesn't really say much, but the phrase is one i rather like. it Odd Duck is what a friend of mine, whom i refer to as Ducky for the same reason, gave me when i was in highschool. its not anything used by anyone but her, but it does describe me well.
okay, so i am unique, in the way that a rake is unique when placed among shovels. i don't quite fit in anywhere, and i rather like it that way. most people ignore me, which is just fine, as i would rather have nothing to do with most people anyhow. i, being an odd person, prefer to be with other odd people who have a difficult time around those that most would call "normal" as their sense of humor is a closer match to mine. i love satire, i am irreverent, creative in a bit of a twisted way, and i love pomegranates.

I have had zero luck making contacts with guys--if I get a message back, which is rare, it ends after one. As you can tell from this I can express myself quite adequately, so it's not like I'm droppign the ball.
Ever meet someone 100% honest? That's me. I have learned over the years to be diplomatic, but if you ask me a question I WILL give you a 100% honest answer. I don't go out of my way to hurt people's feelings; as a matter of fact I carefully consider every bit of an opinion that might land sideways, trying to stuff feathers under it to cushion the landing.
Why is it I don't get answers back? Has anyone (more a question for the females) been contacted out of the blue by a person of the opposite sex? I haven't. I think I've done everything right: got a profile picture that doesn't make me appear to be a troll; filled out the profile with some creative stuff; done the personality tests and that sort of thing; and I've contacted guys who've shown up in my matches that I found interesting.

Actually being easy to get along with, my screen name has been implied as EZ, which, as you can imagine, sent this human into orbit (as in which I could reach out and touch someone in an unpleasant manner). Also, sex has no place when listed as someone looking to date and meet others likeminded. Second date, not sure what happened (maybe the lack of real dates, like going out instead of staying in). Like the lotto com says "you can't win if you don't play" I admit I have met some nice people on POF and made some wonderful friends. Would love to make more friends and like I said maybe I'll meet that one perfect match for me.
