Migraines?

Migraines are caused by vasodilation of the cerebral arteries. Anything that causes vasoconstriction of the cerebral arteries will alleviate the pain, that is the action of Imitrex. Hate to say it but smoking a ciggarette may help, also drinking caffeine, or stick your head in the freezer :P

I used to until I eliminated all MSG from my diet. I don't get them at all now.
Msg is in many foods. including some chips, soups, and a lot of prepared foods. Read labels. It might be something as simple as that.

Migraines?

I have suffered from headaches and migraines all my life, I've learned to lessen them or head them off before they get bad, but when one gets really bad I normally crush some rosemary and chamomile and make a tea (it doesn't taste good but I find it helps a lot), followed by a fruit drink or eating an apple or banana then lay a cold compress on the affected region and lie down somewhere quiet and dark.

I have also heard of people recommending inhaling rosemary fumes in boiling water works too, but normally when I am in pain I find ingesting and lying prone is more appealing then hovering over a steaming bowl as movement for me tends to aggravate things so I've never tried this myself.

Stop using MSG! It's in lots of foods! No msg = no more headaches. Get it?

Ya I got it the first time around. But its not always msg that triggers headaches, for instance I will get headaches on certain weather changes, it's like clockwork I can pretty much plan for it if I watch the weather patterns. Not everyone is the same, but I'm happy to hear you have found a solution for you. I have learned to live with mine and this one thing I found to help, and while eating properly and avoiding msg is very helpful its not a solution for me as its not my only trigger.
