Don't let the nick fool ya. It is just that...a nick. It is for the Goddess of the Moon. I do love the moonlight, which is prolly why I like the nick so much.

I like watching sports--base-, basket- & footballjavascript:smilie('')
javascript:smilie(''). Learning about golf & took lessons a while back. Interested in watching the less televised sporting events, but they are so hard to find. ESPN is not helping much :P. Archery, Highland Games, Strongest Man/Woman, etc.

Pool, darts, shuffle board--bar games are fun. I am not so much into the bar scene, but where else can you find these games
.

Like movies, plays, ballet, musicals, concerts, dance, alternative stage, drumming, & orchestra. Awaiting my first opera.

Want to explore outdoor activities. Have lived a sheltered, city lifejavascript:smilie('')

What can I say, it has been about 6 months since I got up on the dating horse so to speak. I got out of a 6 year realationship with a woman who cheated, lied and stole. LOL a real winner. All I can say is that I will set my sights higher this time.

Anyone out there that would like to carry on a conversation with a group of people, men and women in your age range???????????????
I know there are alot of single/divorced people that would like to just have a couple of people you could call to attend an event or take a walk, hike, golf or just talk.

So, let me know.

Hi! I joined POF a couple of weeks ago and have enjoyed reading the various forums. I grew up in central Oregon and moved to the Willamette valley when I was 19 to start my first job. I currently live in the Salem area. I hope to meet someone but I think that since I've never been married, it might be more difficult. I don't need a man but I think it would be fun to have a man to do things with. I have good friends, a great job and a full life but there are times I get lonely for a man in my life. I really like POF because the members here seem to be mature, well balanced people. Its great to see such an active bunch of over 45s. I really enjoy reading the forums. Its great to read the various points of view and there are a lot of eloquent folks here. I love the beach, mountains, water, staying home and cooking, going out to eat, farmers markets, professional bull riding (as a spectator!), watching movies, working in the yard and other small things that are a lot more fun when shared. If I sound interesting to you, please feel free to email. I will answer, I promise!

Well, I've been around for less than a year and just found this site....little slow on the uptake sometimes...I'll admit it! I thought I'd check it out as I know they had a gathering in Thunder Bay Ontario that was really big. Sounds like it was fun. So, I was wondering if any of us can do the same thing?

Like most of us, it would be nice to finally meet the right person. In the meantime, I've been having a blast. POF has been great. I've met some really nice guys here, and some not so nice. Same party...different location. Peace.

Hi,

Confused 34, in PDX, knowing I want a LTR, but not sure where to find Mr. Emotionally available. I find it's hard to get one's needs met without good communication in and out of the bedroom. I'm hoping for a LTR again, after 1 divorce. Not sure I want kids. I'm still kind of trying to figure out what I'm going to be when I grow up. Feel free to look me up! Looking for Mr. I all ready have it figured out and be supportive to you, kind of guy who is even tempered and open minded religiously, and into art and is educated beyond HS.

POF is great people! The forums are a great way to communicate with each other. Oregon is about the most beautiful state to live in. I haven't been with POF for long, but so far, am still impressed with this site. Like many folks here in OR, I live a very rural lifestyle. I also work a swing shift, so its kinda hard to meet new people. Its good to be cautious and okay to be picky. I've read a lot of comments about negativity and head games on a number of dating sites. Its all about good, healthy communication folks and misperception when someone doesn't know how to express what they're feeling.

Hello, I am new to Portland, looking to meet some outdoorsy people who like to hunt, fish, camp, and just love the outdoors. I am a very respectful and laid back guy who really enjoys life to the fullest. I am very spontaneous and outgoing, and will try ANYTHING once.... variety is the spice of life, and being normal is so boring! I can carry a conversation pretty well so if you like to talk, thats cool, hit me up and chat with me.

one thing I have not learned in life is; I still keep putting the proverbial cart before the horse. This time with School and I hope that my Loans can be transfered to the right school that I need. Oh well.

I'm a Musician and yes I play the Highland Pipes as well as Accoustic guitar, 5-string Banjo, tin whistle, Shakuhatchi, and a few other instruments. I sing in English as well as Gaelic.

Just a message with good intent for fellow free thinkers to expand their conscious reality. Accept and Embrace your true self with gratitude and patience. All will be fortunate, if you allow it in your lives. Seek similar positive people and grow, together and as individuals. Help your kindred neighboor, enlighten gloomy souls, soar with your mind, and energize yourself for the future you create. Know the path to higher self and teach others along your journey. Momentum builds with each passing thought, word, and action. Use your strengths and your weaknesses, they are both part of you and should not be hidden away. Do not judge right or wrong, pretty or ugly, smart or dumb, etc; merely observe things as they are and know that they are this way for a reason. Listen to and accept your quiet inner voice regardless of what your conscious mind is telling you. Your greatest lessons and accomplishments are self taught and self done. You are capable of everything, and you know this. Realize the power of positive unity and collective human experience. Explore the possibilities of dreams and desires you have. Live life lovingly - Hating will get you nowhere. Find the peace and calm inside yourself everyday and bask in it thankfully.

All the Best to all who listen, understand, realize, accept, practice, and teach this message.

And all the best to those who don't.

Is this like a candy store where you can order exactly what you want?
Posted: 3/25/2007 7:33:57 PM
Here's the deal. We all like walks on the beach at sunset, quiet dinners and snuggling. It would be insane not to like those things. It would be like hating puppies or babies or chocolate. It's just not normal.
I think we say that because we are afraid to say what we REALLY want out of life in fear that we may not completely deserve it for some reason. ( Too old, too fat/skinny, poor, uneducated, overly educated and still clueless. ) Here's my thought and I know that it is just MY belief. Until you decide that you DESERVE certain things in life you will continue to settle for less than you really WANT and will be miserable. I don't want to be miserable. I hear it isn't any fun and I want to have fun !!!
I would appreciate it if someone would pass this note along to Santa Clause because I have been VERY GOOD and this is what I want BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
Are you ready??? I want a perfectly gorgeous long haired motorcycle riding, clean and sober, hilariously funny, compassionate, kind, gentle, passionate, Christian, trustworthy, honest, pretty much any age ( last partner was 16 yrs. younger), relaible, hard working, responsible, secure, loving, exciting lover/best friend.
I would even love it if he could play a guitar and sing well but that's not essential.
I want to RUN home from prison (I'm not an inmate. I work there) every night so I could spend every second in his arms dancing, laughing, and whatever. I want a new best friend. How about all that and one who doesn't resent God or the whole world because "someone did him wrong" in the past. That would be good too.
Do you think there is one of those on this planet somewhere??? Did I mention he's HAVE TO BE VERY FUNNY????

Ok just discovered the Oregon section...DOH!

43, should be finally divorced soon...please GOD. Been separated for 17mths now (physically at different addresses) nearly 2 yrs (became aware my husband was [bold]dating[/bold] ) in emotional action.

I live with my mildly disabled daughter and her 3yo daughter, or rather they live with me. This does limit my free time quite a bit.

I'm interested in meeting singles to socialize with period as it turns out I don't really have any. The few single guy friends my X got custody of and the rest were married's who aren't that interested in my life any longer.
