Posted: 7/26/2008 8:33:37 AM | Well, I've been floatin'/lurkin' around for a few months now...I thought it was time I introduced myself. I'm Rick. originally, from Philly and I've been living in Pittsburgh since Spring of 2006. My heart and mind are way behind my chronological age...that doesn't mean that I am immature but that I am truly young at heart. I am what some may call a laid-back intensive - I have a great passion for life and I am always looking for an adventure. hey, it's asbout the journey not the destination!! I am not a typical sort of anything... I date outside my race; step to the beat of my own syncopated drummer and sometimes he can't keep up with the beat; eclecticism is a big part of who I am and it is reflected on many levels be they food, music, politics, literature or the things that I do for leisure from writing poetry to skiing, photography to museums...it's all good. I intend to imbibe as much of life's banquet as I possibly can. At this point in my life I would like to share that banquet with a partner. Lastly, I am looking for a woman who can be a true friend who understands the idea of "unconditional unconditionality." If that works for you and you like intelligent, educated, well-read, sensitive (not to be misconstrued for weak) men then, please, by all means, come and say hello...my door is always open.

Posted: 8/10/2008 7:54:04 AM | hey newbies, it's good to see some shining new faces in here and some of the still shining older ones too! ya know that posting here is a starter but you should keep posting in the forums (usa forums & "your" state forums) that's the learning tool. it helps everyone learn more about "you" and "your" thoughts and also if you're a comedian but....another way to meet people is to click on the green links provided in your inbox. they're links taking you directly to an event being hosted. there are a few events being hosted on a monthly basis in west chester and a few others. some of you might have to watch out though since these events are held within a 100 mile radius of your home some are across state lines....but it's your option in whether or not you want to attend.
so......newbies, it's nice to meet ya in here but if you don't mind me offering a suggestion???? get out and post away.....get out and go the events being hosted.....who knows you might just so happen to meet your true love.
oh and by the way, i 'm anna....i'm not a newbie in here, pretty old if i might say so myself but not as old as some others. technically i've been here since 6/06 then took a few months vacation and came back the day after christmas '07. i'm looking to meet as friends first, nothing else. read my profile and please try not to fall asleep? and ummm if you don't fall asleep and are able to get by my settings, please don't be afraid to drop by even if it is just to say "hello". i know that i do that quite often but not with everyone...if a guy sneaks a peek at my profile then i'm going to do the same with him and drop him a line even if it is to say "hello".

Posted: 9/23/2008 8:28:43 PM | yeah, yeah, yeah....i'm still here. i'm no longer in the schuylkill county area, now i'm up in the pic u nose (poconos) in the ski resort triangle. i'm surrounded by "jack frost" that thought it would be fun to slide down the swiss "alpine" on a "camel back". oh, i almost forgot, the whole sliding down the mountain thing also became like a "montage". at one time if i wanted to go to a country bar i'd have to drive about an hour to get to the winner's circle saloon in grantville, now i'm about 20 minutes away from a small watering hole called memorytowne. i've never gone in that bar other than to fill out an application for a waitress job a few years back, now i'm only going to be in front of the bar as a patron.
so, is there anyone up to showing me how to dance some country dances? | |
