Boy, did I pick the wrong place, or what?!
I grew up in Myrtle Beach, but I travel a bit in the Nature Photography biz.
There is simply no place that I'd rather be, than in the South.
We have the most beautiful beaches, islands, wildlife, and people anywhere.
Of course, that can be a matter of contention, but that's my honest opinion.
I'd love to see more Southerners posting on here. I know y'all are out there. Gimme a loud Rebel Yell!

| Hello from Georgetown!
Posted: 11/22/2005 8:02:32 AM | Since it seems that many of you are not SC natives, so here's some help about my location: G-town is one of the last places in the Lowcountry that has *not* been overrun by developers - yet. (I'm sure it's coming, though! :) :( ) It's below MB (where I lived for years) on the coast, and above Chas - about 50 miles either way to major development.
And that is why I live here. This place retains a semblance of the SC I grew up in - people smile at strangers, wave when you pass on a 2-lane road, and it's small enough that you can get to know neighbors all across town.
That said, the chances of meeting a single, attractive, adventuresome young lady are next to nil, which is why I'm *here*, on PoF. :D 
Found out about PoF yesterday, linked from a story regarding the Yahoo/Match fiasco. I actually joined Match for one month earlier this year (Why? I saw someone who seemed awesome! Guess what happened? Never heard from her...), and found that many of the complaints are eerily like what I experienced there.
So, after checking out PoF, I thought I'd try my luck at Fishing. :)
