lol Deb....well, to be honest I'm not one to wait on someone to email me. If I was apparently I'd be a lot older than 54 when I received my first one...lol. I'd sure like to find someone in the SE area. I've tried the relocation thing and driving back and forth, it's no fun. Besides, all the really good looking ones live miles away from me.

LOL For me I would wait for the guy to email me if he is interested. Unless I find one that is very interesting.

God bless,

Hello, my name is Michelle but close friends call me Kat. I just relocated back to Knoxville, Tennessee about two months ago after living in Texas for 14+yrs...I am orginally from East Tennessee and am happy to be back home...I love being outdoors and trying new things even if I am afraid! Life is too short to let fear overcome all you do! My biggest goal in life is to make difference in this vast world of ours and to touch the lives of others...I love fishing(yes I can bait my own hook), hiking through the mountains, riding motorcycles with friends, being one with nature and enjoying all the beautiful things that so many overlook because we get so caught up in life that we forget the simple beauty of a sunset, sunrise and the stars that glisten above us every night...

Kat

For those of you in the Knoxville area who like to dance but don't care to go to bars, here are the places the singles go to dance..........if you don't know how to dance, read the post, there are opportunities to learn.

Places to Dance!
MONDAYS
At Church Street UMC on Mondays
7:00 Intermediate Swing Dance #2 The Gym
7:45 Beginning Swing Dance #2 The Gym
8:30 Swing Dance Practice The Gym
Do you know what the most popular form of dance was in the late twenties and early thirties as our new building was being built? If you said the "Lindy" you would be right. Long before there was FM radio and country line dancing there was the era of touring Big Bands and the rage was "Swing Dancing." And proving once again that "there is nothing new under the sun" this form of dancing is back in vogue and sweeping across the country faster then the Chattanooga Cho-Cho. Church Street Singles will be offering Swing Dance Lessons in the Church Life Center Gym. And best of all, it is FREE. At 7:00 pm there will be Intermediate and Advanced Lessons followed at 8:00 pm by Beginner's Lessons. The instructors for this series will come from the Knoxville Swing Dance Association. These free lessons are open to all people, singles and couples. You do not need a partner for registration. You may join the series at any point. They are part of the community outreach emphasis of the Singles Council and designed to introduce Church Street and Church Street Singles Ministry to new seekers, especially young adults. Members of the congregation are encouraged to drop-in, renew or learn a new step, and welcome our visitors

Contra dancing at the Laurel Theater on Monday nights? There are free lessons at 7:30 p.m. and the dance is from 8 to 11:00 p.m. The best description of it is that it is reel dancing - they teach the moves (there is a caller) at the lessons and then you follow the calls. A partner is not necessary but I think it would be good if a few couples would go as a group, because the people there seem to have been doing it for a long time so they are kind of stuck on each other. Anyway, it is fun, not too hard, and if you like it, they hold dances in Jonesborough, Chattanooga, Athens and Greeneville too.
It's at the Laurel Theater every Monday at 7:30 - on/near the UT campus. Any questions, let me know. I will put my email below and if anyone wants to go, would be willing to carpool from Farragut. the fee for the contra dance is $5.00 - no smoking or drinking, and the dress is folksy/casual.

---------------
LINE DANCE LESSONS Linda and Friends will teach line dance lessons at Concord UMC on Thursday nights from January 17 through the end of Feb. As always, lessons are free and no registration is needed. Lessons are from 7 til 9 p.m., but doors open at 6:30 for those who want to come early and socialize. Although these lessons are for beginners, experienced dancers are welcome to come for the exercise and to help coach the new dancers. We'll start with Electric Slide and Tush Push and will include some new dances and some we haven't taught for awhile. Lessons are progressive, so if you're a new dancer, please start with the first lesson. The church is at 11020 Roane Drive in Farragut. . There is a dance here on 11-30-2007--cost $5 5th Friday
Singles Dance at Concord United Methodist Church, 8 to 11 pm. Featuring an eclectic mix of music for line dancing, ballroom, swing, and couples dances. Your $5 admission includes drinks, snacks, and door prizes. Line dance review at 7:30; the dance will be from 8 until 10:30. Directions: From I-40W, take the Lovell Road exit. Turn left onto Lovell Road and continue to Kingston Pike. Turn right onto Kingston Pike and look for David's Carpets with the HUGE American flag. Turn left onto Thornton Drive. Take the first right onto Roane Drive and look for the church on your left.

2nd Saturdays Dances at Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church-
starting with the 2nd Saturday in June (9th) Union Cumberland Presbyterian will be having a dance sponsored by the Singles ( but not just for Singles, all are welcome)... time 7 to 10... cost $5.00... Light refreshments....
we will have one the 2nd Saturday of each month... come and be with us....
\
Dance at the Square Dance Center (aka Flynn Center)
On the 3rd and 4th Sat. night’s, there will be dances at the Square Dance/Flynn Center. Come on down and bring a friend or meet new friends. Cost is $10. Keryl is our DJ. No Smoking and No Alcohol 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM Refreshments provided (She has some great snacks) FREE Dance lessons at 7pm.

Hello,

My name is Dave, 35 male, guitarist, moving to Tennessee soon to pursue the music industry there, California is getting crowded. Now just because I am a musician, does not mean I am the typical musician, I have much to offer, and I seek a woman that I can love for the rest of my life, and beyond if remotely possible. I am not seeking a barbie doll, or a heart breaker, had enough of that type of stuff. I just want to find the love of my life that understands and loves who I am.

Hi there
I have tried to post my picture so I can go to the Nashville Meet and Greet but for some reason it won't take my pic. I checked to see if I'm too old and I'm not .

Can you please help me ? I would appreciate it if you could.

Because there is much more to it than just being a good man. Common interests and activities. Religious beliefs, location, health/lifestyles. I know lots of wonderful men and am glad they are my friends, but that does not always equate to a mate.

Well Wow I don't know if anyone will read this, but I thought I would post it anyway. My name is Candy and I live in East Tennessee. Have been single since the first of the year, but looking back on that relationship I would say I have been single far longer then that because he was a liar. I am not just saying he was a liar like "no your butt doesn't look big" but the kinda liar that should be hung out to dry.

Anyway time to move on, because liars are losers and he is the biggest.

So if you are in East Tn drop me a line.

I have been of POF for about a month now. I seems like alot of the men on here post their information, so you send an email, move on to another match etc, etc, well you never heat back from that person, so u kinda wonder did they get ur email?, are they involved, if there were some way to know if maybe this person is not interested. How does one know? unless the person is polite enough to let u know maybe he has started a relationship. Is there any way of know this without emailing the same person again? Just seems like there could be something added to your profile say "starting something" or "getting involved" or" in process of seeing someone", so that way we know not to email. Just a thought.

Looking for a dance partner
Posted: 4/2/2008 9:24:29 PM
Hi, I'm new around here. I'm a single lady without kids. I have a lot of interests. I like to 'do' things as well as 'watch' things. I like couples dancing, whitewater rafting, cool weather hiking and camping, and anything on the water. I'm a voracious reader. I like movies and music concerts. I think it's fun to try new and different restaurants. I'm glad I found this forum.
