Posted: 7/19/2009 9:57:11 AM | Hello everyone. I am Tom. I am recently separated and will soon be served with divorce papers (a week from Monday I believe) from my STBX of nearly 22 years. I am not the one who wants the divorce.
Anyway, I have two awesome teenage sons who I cannot be around enough.
I am an active duty Chief Warrant Officer in the Coast Guard and have served my country for more than 25 years. I don't know when I will be retiring, but for now I keep doing what I love and it is a great career. I am presently stationed in Everett.
I came here to POF look for new friends and to rebuild a social network outside of the network my STBX and I created. It is tough being around my married friends now, so I am joining many of the singles groups over at meetup. It is a great site and lots of activities.
I am not out "looking" for someone to date or enter into another serious relationship. I don't want the rebound and it wouldn't be fair to the other person. Although, our marriage has been pretty dead for the past few years, so I suppose I haven't been in a relationship for a while...
Maybe I will see some of you at the meetups.

I would like to meet people to do things with or hang out with that live close by, any suggestions. I would also love to meet someone of the opposite sex to hang out with because I've been here for 3 months and haven't even been on a date, not for lack of trying but I do work a lot so that does interfere. Posted: 7/27/2009 1:41:53 AM | Well here I am the noob, no expectations. I have already seen so many attractive ladies in my age group on here  I was surprised to get the nickname. But the nic doesn't mean I have a super ego. On singles.net when you pay to join they call you a featured member, and since I can actually communicate on this site instead of just viewing profiles I get to be a featured member here. So here i am.
I am impressed with this site and all of the features. I hope everyone is having fun. I especially like the forums. I saw there is a forum for people having difficulty writing their profiles. Here's a tip. I once asked a renowned author how she does it. She said "First I write it, then I think of the best way to say it in the least amount of words." I need to take her advise and touch up my profile.

A friend of mine, Ken, invited me come in and check out POF. I was a member here many years ago and decided that after a little break to come back and meet new people. I have lived in the Seattle/ Everett area since 1990. I enjoy doing things outdoors. I am electrician, and sometimes teach computer classes for the community college or Boeing engineers. I have a female black lab dog.
I know quite a bit about the Puget Sound region as well as the Spokane region.

I am here to just check things out and maybe make a few friends along the way! My life is all about going with the flow. I work as a Psychic-Medium, and Soul Coach. I have been a professional for the past 4 years. I have done lots of Parties, One-on-One and Group Readings, and have made quite a few Radio appearances. I pride myself on being approachable, down to earth, and able to see into the heart of the matter. I am in no way your average "Mystic," and I do what I love, so I am always happy. Washington State is my birth-place and home. I am single, never married, no children. This doesn't mean I haven't been approached about these matters, it only means I was smart enough to not sign my life away. I feel my calling is different. Maybe I am not supposed to be married in this lifetime, who knows?! When I was young and in the Catholic Church, I thought my calling was to be a Nun. I found out that I couldn't have a boyfriend...so, I left..So, yeah I like men and I am not opposed to them at all. I just haven't found that special one or five yet who understand me.
Anyway, if you want to talk I am around. I have alot to say and my philosphy on living life to the fullest is at least something a bit different and interesting if you are ever bored.

I just got out of a 5 year relationship and am basically raising my son, Luke, by myself but I love every minute of it. He is my pride and joy and such a lady killer.
So I guess I'm really starting over from scratch here and looking for good friends and whatever happens from that happens. I take things 1 day at a time and try to enjoy each moment as it comes along.
It's been fun to talk to some of you and I hope to keep that going. | |
