Hello I cast my lure about a month ago. Have talked with a few people and gotten some nice responses back.
I live north of Milwaukee near West Bend. I'm a woman with sons who live on their own now and would like to start dating and seeing what all the fun is about.

Take care everyone and good luck.

Hi, I am a 32 yr old mom looking to start over. I have 2 beautiful kids that mean the world to me. I spend most of my time with them but I can get away every once and awile and have some fun. I like to watch sports, do just about anything outside, love being on the water, singing, playing pool, darts and I'm am willing to try almost anything thats legal and not x-rated. My 3 favorite sports are football, hockey and Nascar. I love to play softball and watch AAA ball. I am very spontaneous, could call you up one day and say lets go for a drive or lets go hiking just about anything.

Hey all...Bill here, back in WI after a five year stint in North Carolina. It is certainly great to be back among friends and family here in this great state. I am hoping to make a few friends here at POF, perhaps even more...No hurry on my end though. First time internet experience of this kind....I am up on the lake in Algoma enjoying "small town" life again.

Welcome aboard to all our recent newcomers. Pull up a chair and check us out. The forum here isn't very active but some good stuff comes out of it on occasion! Keep your eyes peeled on the green text up above your inbox - that will keep you up to date on all the nearby events and parties you can check out. As of now there is one in Appleton coming up and one in SE Wisconsin.

Most of all, have fun fishing!

Hi Renee, welcome to the big pond. Feel free to swim around and see what there is to see. The forums can be slow, but feel free to post your ideas and keep an eye on the green links above your inbox for all of the POF happenings near you.

I don't know a lot of people over Eau Clair way, but you never know who's out there lurking in the weed beds! One way to quickly sift through some of the active people is to click on a meet & greet in your area and then browse the profiles of the people signed up - they are folks who are out there doing stuff. The other place to look is right here in the forums - the people who post their opinions and ideas can give you a feel for what they're like.

Above all, have fun!

Hey Robert - welcome. Keep an eye on the green text/links above your inbox. They will let you know what's going on near you. There is an event coming up in Green Bay toward the end of October, and I believe one or two in SE Wisconsin. Depending on where you are you may also see ones in Michigan and Illinois.

Contributing in the forums - whether the WI forums specifically or any of the other ones is the best way to get yourself noticed on here. When people read your profile they see the last few things you posted in the forums, and that helps them get to know a little more about who you are before they decide to contact you.

Generally if people are discussing options for gatherings you will find it in the WI forums, and once a plan is put together it gets posted in green for all to see.

Don't be afraid to put in your 2 cents!

New to this site....NOT to the online "dating" scene...
Posted: 12/19/2008 1:40:12 PM
I've been at this so long, most of the people I consider friends these days (all 7 of them) call me by my online name, "Cuz" rather than my real name. I prefer not to share that with everyone.
After almost 5 years (pretty sad, huh?) on another site (that will remain nameless), it was time for a change. I heard y'all had more local users...who have been active within the last 4 weeks...over here, so here I am.
Not much to say here about me you won't find in my profile, at least that I want to share with everyone. I live in what I like to call Dating Purgatory, where there seem to not be many women at all, and of the 3 I found on that other site, I never managed to connect with 2 of them, and the other I consider my best friend.
Been on here for a couple weeks or so, and I view a lot of profiles, sent out a handful of emails to a few ladies, but have not had much success "clicking" with any of them. (1 got mad because I don't like Brett Favre, so if this is you, we probably aren't going to get along. I don't care much for a potential match to carry on about their favorite male celebrity, probably similar to how you ladies would feel if a man you have interest in constantly talks about how hot he thinks Britney Spears [or whomever] is)
So, if you live in or around Clark County, are female, and like the simple things in life, don't be afraid to send me an email. I think we should be past the silliness of the guy always having to make the first move...besides, I'm pretty shy most of the time. But if you do contact me, you WILL get a response...even if it's to say 'sorry, not interested.'
Which begs the question, why do some women (I know men do this too) just stop talking for no reason? If you come to the conclusion that you're no longer interested in chatting, why not just say so? A woman asked me my opinion about something a few days ago. I answered, and asked what her thoughts were on the subject. She read and deleted the email...as well as a second email.
I've probably said too much, but oh well, story of my life. Happy fishing everyone!
