I am not looking for a mate, just for friends to chat with. I'm not your average person and so I think I've scared most people off. lol

I'm 52, but don't feel like it. I hope I never really grow up. I love all thing horror and love animals. I've got 5 dogs and 2 cats. My daughter goes to film school in Chicago.

I'm Nathan, I live in Oshkosh near West High School. I've been in Oshkosh for about 2 1/2 years now, rather like it.
I'm a stay-at-home single parent (divorced 13 years), interested in finding a lady for a long term relationship. It's usually the sort of relationship that has to be built on over time, so I'm not expecting instant results lol.
I hope to enjoy my time here, and look forward to contributing to the local POF community. Maybe I'll meet some of you at these Meet & Greet's I've been reading about - they sound fun!

| Packin it up in the Northwoods
Posted: 3/27/2009 12:53:38 PM | Well, I have given it my best shot but I think my time in the Northwoods is about to come to an end. Out of every 20 men I have been in contact with 19 1/2 say I am just too far away. The other half thinks about it and is also married - a BIG no no for me.
I have made a lot of friends in the Fox Valley area and after I take a little time to travel (which I LOVE to do but job restraints have severely handicapped my ability to do so) I will be changing directions in my life and heading south.
About me - I think reading my profile will give a good insight into who I am. I have wonderful friends all over this beautiful state who have urged me to make a move so I can fulfill an empty spot in my life.

I am a 52 year old man that lives in Antigo. I am a single parent of twin 13 year old twin girls. I have just finished my ....2 years......in school and graduated this week, May 12. I am SOOOOOO happy school is over! Now I have the task of finding that all illusive "new job".
OH BOY!!
But first I intend to take this summer off and do some of the things I have wanted to do for so many years. I will have this summer away from being a parent as my 2 girls will spend the summer with their mom. So that means I have the time to actually ...DO SOMETHING.
Many of you are single parents, so you know just how valuable free time is when you get it.
I intend to use mine very selfishly all to my pleasure.
So I intend on making new friends and maybe even finding someone very special. Who knows. But I do intend on going places on my motorcycle this summer.
Anyone want to ride along?

They're older now and find it easier to date but quite a few "questionable" guys out there. Girls too I'm sure. Don't get into the bar thing, especially for dating. Do sometimes have a girls night out and have a good group of girls to go to the bar with who aren't on a man/husband hunt-Oh you all know the women I mean. Just looking for someone to settle down with and share life with. I'm not desperately seeking husband and my biological clock isn't ticking (it's off). Now I'm just ready to focus on the part of my life that could be better. I'm honest and friendly, fun and funny, easy going and don't have much of a temper. I guess I'm fishing for a guy who is basically the same in those areas. A great sense of humor is what I find sexy about a guy. I've been on this site for over a year I think. Dated one person I met here seriously for about a year and we're still friends. I've made a few guy friends and met a few who just wanted to get laid and some who just weren't my type. Posted: 6/29/2009 1:25:44 PM | Well, I can see I have been negligent in my welcome wagon duties on here - geesh - nothing since January - that's pretty sad :o( I think I'm due for a beating.... Good thing I didn't say that before last weekend, it could have been rough!
Anyway, welcome and late welcome to all of our new arrivals. Feel free to swim around the forums and see what's going on, and keep an eye on all the party announcements that show up under your inbox screen - they'll let you know what's up (if you can sort out all the junk from MI, IL and IN that is!). There have been POF activities in SE Wisconsin, and NE Wisconsin, so keep an eye out for the next one close to you. I've had a few people ask about stuff on the other side of the state, but I don't know your area - don't know where the good places to go are, where the bands play, where to eat and where to sleep. Seems a few people ask on occasion but few people step up to the plate to help out with the project. Maybe all the POF folks in Western Wisconsin hang out on the MN side of the border for their fun.
If there is anything you would like to know or suggest or whatever feel free to bring it up in the WI forums - please take note of the rules that you can find at the top of your screen when you reply to a post or go to start a new thread and you should be fine.
This is the introduction thread so you can get away with a post or two telling us about yourself, where you are and what you like to do, but for the rest of the threads try to avoid the off-topic stuff.... Some of us do tend to take a little more liberty in the party threads, but we try to keep it on-topic of things to do at the party at least...
