I live in the country near a small town. Have been reading the forums here and decided to join up.
Looking to meet new people and open up my circle of friends. If that leads to something with a special lady so much the better.
I'm a little shy at first but open up rather quickly, so don't be afraid to contact me. I like a good conversation.

I moved here in July 2006 and have not been around much because of the weather. I am from Toronto. I find my co workers to be friendly but they are all older than me and I would like to meet people my age to hang out with but so far I have not been able to meet those friendly manitobans I keep hearing about. I like the darker things in life; music with more meaning than just 'sleep with me', animals, funky clothing and alternative lifestyles. I'm artistic, and creative in many media- paint, pen and ink, sculpture, fabric, writing- that's not saying I'm any good, just that I like doing these things.  Find me on the various forums- hope you don't find me too opinionated...
Still a bit nervous even though I've been here for a few months. I'd like to meet new people- it's proving kind of hard to find someone compatible in my area. Maybe I'll luck out and find that special someone here. | |

So here is my first post,and to be honest the hardest part of doing this was my grammar and pronunciation lol I have heard that there are peopple on here who take that very seriously,so rather than annoy people with my cyber shorthand,i have made the effort to not type like that.Trust me it wasn't easy lol..I do have a brain, but my theory is i have better thnings to do than to get uptight about a few misspellings. Posted: 4/23/2007 8:24:01 PM | Greetings fellow fishies, I've been on this site for a couple of months now and realized I hadn't introduced myself....well,.....actually ...I didn't know how to get to the forums and wasn't aware I was supposed to introduce myself....for this I apologize.
Just wanted to say thanks to all of the beautiful women who read my profile and say "Hello" to me.
I'm 42 years young and don't feeel a day over 30. I'm a life long hockey player, been skating since I was 2. I'm healthy and in good shape and plan on staying that way.
I've been an Electrician for over 22 years and love my job. I love to play pool, go to the beach, BBQ and hang out with fun people. I joined this site on the advice of a good friend because she was worried about me and said it would do me good to meet some new friends and I hope while I'm here I can atleast accomplish that....God bless her.
I am still learning how to navigate around this site and If anyone knows of some POF get togethers, please let me know of them....as I think it would be fun to attend atleast one of them, you all make it sound like they are lots of fun. I have read the posts here for quite some time and finally got up the courage to join. I am looking forward to attending some local functions, if my three young children will ever let me out!
I am not really here for a relationship, but am very interested in the group outings to meet with some fun and interesting people.
I was thrust unwillingly into the single life after more than fifteen years of being happily married. So, some laughter would be a good thing for me!
Our three children, and raising them right, are my priority now.
I quit smoking last fall and have put on a few pounds. It's amazing how a little more extra can make you feel a little frumpy. I recently bought myself a bike and started riding around the area. It's a lot of fun, and I hope it helps get me back into better shape.
I look forward to meeting some of you here on the forums and maybe even some of you are the functions!

I'm Lina to my friends. I've lurked for about a year now and decided that it's time to put my comments out there instead of spurting my coffee over the keyboard when I read the forums!  I've started to interact more with others now that they've increased my meds and let me out on day passes.... well...okay.... they let me out once and it wasn't my fault that the wheel came off!
