I am in the process of trying to get an agricultural business off the ground, takes a good man to have to want to stomach that! I don't do the bar scene (okay, once in a VERY blue moon, I like to get a little tipsy, but I am just as fun when I am sober), and while I live in a very rural area, it's mostly older folks and guys who are too busy oggling four wheelers to pay any attention to the practical, independant, can-do girl that I am. :) I am adventurous and like travel and miiiiiiight work up enough bravery to someday go to a POF party for Fredericton. :) | |

I am here mostly to talk and see what may happen. I have way to many interests, and subjects to discuss, to list. I am not huge into the bar scene but at the same time I do occasionally just up and get out from the house, usually in search of a pint of Guinness. This much to my dismay has become more frequent, though I tend to aim at a pub and do not like getting s**t-faced. I tend to be sarcastic and very snappy on a comeback, though I try to use my talents only for good. That said you have been warned.

Posted: 11/14/2007 5:08:43 PM | Hi, Im Marlene *waves to Norma* I was on the site last year and even went to the PoF Xmas party. I work as a site admin for another website, it bored me to tears. Im a huge brainiac, rarely notices things around me because Im either nose deep in a book, running computer programs or watching animes. In a couple years when my business plans have been all put to rest I intend to take my drawings off the backburner and move them to the front and do graphic novels.
Im looking for someone that's tall, funny, intelligent and drama-free. LOL I have a thing for the "geeky look" in guys or long hair.  I have a 3 yr old son, who is my number 1 guy so that has to be understood. I also have 2 cats and a rat. Im not looking for a long distance kind of thing because Im really busy with work and cant travel unless it's on business.
Well that's all shoot me a mssg and start up a convo and we can go from there.

Posted: 11/28/2007 6:37:51 PM | Hi, I'm Myron. I'm just on here trying to meet some new people. I've lived all across Canada, and gone to university in Halifax and St. John's, Newfoundland, so I figured moving here for work two years ago would be fine, I'd meet plenty of people. Turns out it's not as easy as I expected when you're not actually in university any more (and your job takes about 50-60 hours a week - I'm quite happy I've got a new one now that doesn't).
As for the kind of person I am, I work hard, I tend to think things through carefully, and my basic philosophy of life is "take whatever you need, but give whatever you can." I used to be shy at one point, but that's not so anymore, and that phase has just left me with a good ability to put myself in other people's shoes. As for my dating approach, my thought has always been that I ought to work on myself first, rather than rushing around seeking happiness. If I can bring happiness to the people around me, I figure the rest will follow - and even if it doesn't follow immediately, I'm doing something good in the interim. I'm at a point now where I'm pretty sure I'm solid boyfriend material if that's what you're looking for, but if you're more interested in friendship that works for me too. Cheers! | |

I am just here to check this place out, get to know some people in the greater Fredericton area do some social inter-networking and see if someone has the same sense of twisted humor I have.
I travel back and forth from here to vancouver bc because I am originally a west coast boy ( still am actually).
I will be honest I do find maritime rs to be some of the friendliest people around, maybe not frederictonians but people appear to get friendlier as your radiate out radially from the capital city center ( literally).

| what a long strange trip its been...
Posted: 5/23/2008 7:25:51 PM | My family went to Ont from NB when I was 6 , we moved to Hamilton Ont , I spent 40 years there , 24 years as a steelworker , had a pretty fast paced lifestyle at times....lol Left an 11th floor apartment downtown , pool , sauna and heated underground parking and moved into the bush of central NB. This place friggin rocks , such a nice change from the city . The nearest human now is several miles away and I am seeing wildlife in my yard, that I only heard about when growing up in Ont...except something ate one of the cats.....wonder if he tasted like chicken ?..lol
