| Surrounded by over weight women in Houston Posted: 12/5/2008 9:42:40 AM | ive dated men of most sizes. tall short skinny chunky fat... i know what i want , and i knw attraction has to be there, but heres an idea.... when you look at a pretty faced person, and you think, awe man they are HOT, then you get to knwo them, and they arent so pretty anymore, thn you also meet an ok not bad but not for me, and they are a really good person, that person becomes more attracting to you. to me, you may have a pretty face, but if ur attitude sucks, forget it. so, yea, a little bit of attraction has to be there, its whats inside that makes or breaks the attraction. of course, u cant make the bells go off or the butterflies fly in ur belly, so its about how you feel too. Im in a size 12, im not ashamed, or embarrassed. i still get hit on by good looking and not so good looking men. if some idiot wants a pretty skinny lil girl.. let him have her n his opinions... he'll get what he deserves in the long run. :) let her have 3 or 4 babies. | |

Man, it looks like you opened a can of worms here! Good luck with that. The truth of the matter is, Texas has 6 of the Top 10 fattest cities in America. Check it out... http://www.mensfitness.com/city_rankings/fattest25/
I personally found that when I got into my "latter" 30's my metabolism started slowing down and I started getting chubby quick. Now I have to work out twice as hard as I used to for the same results, or less. It's basically a losing battle though, with all the great Mexican Food, Hot Wings, Pizza and the "beer culture" lifestyle many people live here. It's just part of what makes Texas - Texas. The good news is Dallas, Arlington, El Paso, Fort Worth and San Antonio all out rank Houston in fat. So if it bothers you bad enough to bail from Houston, you know where not to move.
Everyone's got something "wrong" with them and nobody is perfect. I've just found that a lot more of it is on the inside of people than the outside...

| Surrounded by over weight women in Houston Posted: 12/9/2008 9:26:14 AM | This post is so old, not even sure if the OP still looks at this post but thought I would respond. I am happy with who I am. I am not fat but then again I am also not skinny. I do realize some men want that trophy woman who puts her looks before anything else. My thought is a good head on your shoulders with a good heart is much better than the way anyone looks. I think people become more attractive when they are good people. If you are a good looking man but you are shallow and self centered then you become very unattractive in my book. I would rather find someone that I have a connection with intellectually b/c looks fade, I want to find that one person that I can talk to about anything and everything, and 50, 60 years down the road that I can still talk to..I may not be able to see him or actually hear him and I may be talking to the dog but that is what I want. Good luck OP b/c you get what you ask for! | |

| Surrounded by over weight women in Houston Posted: 12/10/2008 9:57:23 PM | LOL!!!
I think this thread is hilarious. Women in Dallas aren't that bad. But the hot ones are always surrounded by the not so hot ones. So, you must go with friends willing to take one for the team!
As far as the "love who you are routine" That is tiring isn't it? Being overweight because of some sort of health problem is one thing. But while I scanned this thread everybody accused him of being a "pig" lol. I think that is funny. America is quickly turning into fat central and the best we can come up with is "love the way you are"
NO. Don't love the way you are. If you are overweight DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. It is for your own damn benefit! This notion that people should just be who they are is slowly but surely feeding this unhealthy lifestyles. Truth is, the south has the fattest people in the US by average and you just have to drive down the street to see why. People gorging out on the fattening foods.
So to the OP. Move somewhere up North. West Coast has some decent healthy girls. You'll find some in Texas but they are probably already taken :(

| Surrounded by over weight women in Houston Posted: 12/10/2008 10:00:33 PM | And he isn't a jerk. He just flat out stated he doesn't dig more cushion for the pushin'! What the heck is wrong with that.
Personally, I don't date girls that are overweight. Period, if anything, I probably wouldn't approach them in a manner in which I hint at being attracted to them. Part of meeting someone is attraction. When was the last time any of ya'll saw somebody and instantly fell in love without knowing who they are? ZIP. You had to be attracted physically first!

| Surrounded by over weight women in Houston Posted: 12/11/2008 9:23:14 AM | I sat here & read all the responses.....I maybe overweight, but I am a very healthy 51 year old Big Beautiful Woman (not a girl), so don't always assume (haha) that just because someone is overweight they are UNHEALTHY....as the old saying goes "never judge a book by the cover, read the contents first before making a judgement"....
I agree attraction is part of meeting someone, which is outside and inside....!!

| Surrounded by over weight women in Houston Posted: 12/12/2008 7:31:22 AM | | I am a large woman .. doesn't mean that we large women don't have feelings or need to be loved too ... I hate superficial people ... I guess I could go into a million reasons why I wouldn't date some men, but then I would become just the same as them. I WON'T date a man for his looks or for money.. the money is not mine in the first place and secondly money might only bring you happiness for a little while but not forever ... and looks fade... been to a class reunion lately? Not too many are actually as good as they were when you attended high school. There is a thing called a delete button. If you don't like what you see, delete the person... The way I look at things.. I date men for their warmth and kindness and good personality .. if you don't you might miss out on something good ...... | |

| Surrounded by over weight women in Houston Posted: 2/23/2009 8:44:25 PM | | I agree, everyone needs to slow down a little, good women come in all sizes. I think if we just stop dwelling on the fact that the person next to us is not exactly perfect love will be a lot easier to find. Just a thought! | |

| Surrounded by over weight women in Houston Posted: 3/16/2009 5:57:24 PM | | You know I have enough trouble where I work, being surround by beautiful women, and then there is me, average weight, not very good looking in the facial features, but you know what? My mom always said, "Beauty is only skin deep, look at the inner self of the person before you judge them by there looks." You might be surprised by what you find. | |
