I am not sexist or racist and not prejudice at all....It really sux that there are men out there that actually agree with joejoe007's ideas. Over 90% of all women in the world are overweight...and more men than that are lacking in the genital area! But you know what...most women don't **** about size....it's all about the heart and what's inside!

I had a wonderful husband for 9 years till he died of cancer. He would have loved me
at size 6 or 16.I can see why you are divorced.I am not bitter or gross , I just

I am not a skinny woman but, I am physically healthy and very active. Thankfully I am also a confident, stong woman that doesn't need a man's opinion to feel great about myself. Maybe you should take a step back and think about how you are approaching the women in Houston and you might just find that you are the problem..not us!! | |

Posted: 9/6/2006 3:57:47 PM | | I was married for 21 years and in that time my wife went from a size 2 up to a 22 I went from a size 32 waist to almost 48 our weight went up and down like a yoyo but in all those years I never stopped LOVING my wife although she became very selfconcious about her looks and would not like to go out in public we still would go out and I was proud as HELL to hold her hand and put my arm around her...Love is all about what is inside of your mates heart not what on the outside..You can be drop dead pretty but have a mean and ugly heart and that makes you ugly all the way around..~Roy~ | |

Move to Dallas, there are plenty of slender/fit/beautiful women in Big D. You can see them everywhere you go out in this town. Bars, theater, gyms, concerts, dance clubs, bicycle & jogging trails, restaurants. Maybe you need to change where you are looking. Go look where active fit people go instead of posting your woes on the internet. | |

Posted: 11/29/2006 9:32:23 AM | I'm not going to respond to the original poster, as I think 8 pages of tearing him a new one did quite alright.
I'll respond, however, in the opposite direction. I'm a little overweight, due to genetics and (in all honesty) previous bad eating habits with little exercise. I watched both mom and dad pass away before their time due to diseases related to their obesity (Dad from diabetes complications, mom from heart disease). That pretty much woke me up to taking better care of myself, and have so far lost 60lbs.
Now, it's hard for someone seeing me for the first time to know all that, to know that I eat right, exercise, and while the weight is coming off, there's still more to go until I'm "normal". I make up for it by having a great personality, a wicked sense of humor, treating people with respect, and just being an all around nice guy. And guess what? When I lose all that weight, I'm still going to have those qualities.
I've gone out with women who would be considered overweight, and those that would be at home on a New York catwalk. You know what both types had in common? They took the time to get to know me, found out about shared interests or just thought I was a nice, fun guy, and wanted to spend time with me. One girl I dated who would easily rank an 11 on anyone's scale told me that attracted me to her was not my looks, but my wit, my confidence, and she liked my eyes as well - something about telling I had a warm and good soul ;) And I've heard something similar to that from all the women I've gone on dates with.
The moral of the story is that while there are shallow people who will immediately judge you on your weight, there are even more people out there who can look beyond the initial picture, and can see the real person inside. So if you want to "fix" yourself, start with what's inside - get that confidence up, that you'll have no problem shedding the weight and your whole outlook on life. Once you've got that iron will in place, not only will the weight fly off, but the people around you will notice the change as well. | |

Congratulations zjmusashi on losing 60 pounds and going the right direction for your health. Eating right and exercising will go a long way towards improving the quality of your life and the length of it. | |
