| Toilet Paper - which way does it hang? Posted: 8/3/2006 4:42:49 AM |
Dijita...you are not an odd ball...
*chuckle* ok maybe not for that - but I am most definitely a zag in a world of zigs.
Oddballs everywhere (well at least one in Dartmouth) thank you for your comments and support.
p.s. I never did answer the intial question.... very delinquent of me *gives a mock gasp*
I'm not that anal (yes pun was intended) I just take a roll, and throw it on the spool. If it likes to unravel, I flip it around. I happen to have an old style hanger which is a simple rod attached to a bracket, which lets the roll rest against the wall, so I don't have any problem with it one way or the other.
I used to work in a shop that sold lighting and bathroom fixtures. If I was building a display I would alway hang it over the top with exactly two sheets hanging down, pure aesthetic - it virtually begs... "please roll some off". Who knew wiping one's self could be so psychological?
*laughs* ok I'm shutting up now before we delve into the realm of TMI.

It's kinda common sense in a way. The urinary tract is in essence simply a tube - think of dipping a straw in fluid, there will always be a small drop at the end when you lift it out; if you squeeze the straw... drip. With that said, if you simply compress the widest part of the tract (rght at the very base of the scrotum) the fluid has no choice but to exit at the only place available, problem solved. It doesn't work if you do it at the narrower (lower) end if the tract because you are not putting enough pressure there to expel any excess fluid. Little squeeze, little shake, quick wipe, all good.
ok really shutting up now hahah

Of course, the garbage will have to be closer, too.

So I just moved and the roll hanger thing is in a super awkward spot, when you are sitting on the toilet it is a few inches behind the body, this requires an unfomfortable twist of the upper body to reach back and grap the toilet paper, for this reason I now leave the roll sitting on the top of the tank, still uncomfortable turn to reach the roll, but eaiser to unroll the paper and get the required amount of paper needed for use.

Not only that, but when my old roomate visits, I have noticed that if it was rolled under, he will change it. I think he's just messing with my head...
I believe in folding and not crumpling, I am always terrified my finger will find that one gap in the crumple... ick.
as for the toilet seat, male or female, I think the seat should be down, with the lid closed firmly over it... as my past roomate learned when he dropped his deodorant in the bowl
