Yesterday I noticed an unfamiliar photo in the photo gallery of women who have in the past viewed my profile. I discovered it is one of our more charming forum friends.

So I sent the lovely lady a message to compliment her "new look" and tell her that she is awesome.

I think I made her smile.

I do so many things for so many people I've lost track. Whether it be saving people from the jaws of death and the perils of danger to feeding the poor and homeless with every ounce of monetary worth I have I'll be there.

I'll be there for you
These 5 words you know they're true.
Darlin you know I'll be there for you.
I'LL BE THERE FOR YOUUUU.

I took a business call today, from client in trouble and hoping to book an appointment on short notice for a house call.

I talked her through the solution on the phone and won't send her a bill.

Just another example of me trying to make someone's day every day.

Well today.....

Driving home I encountered a intersection.......I had a green light, however....3-4 teens decided they don't agree with the red/green light system......
As i pounced the brakes stopping 5-10 feet short of nailing the first one, all were'nt phased by this close call but instead sondered across the hwy with their backs turned like they owned it.....
So I suppose, not making blacktop out of them was a nice gesture.......

One my friends (he is 75) said at Coffee Club this morning that the portable air conditioner unit he just bought on Monday (the last one A/C unit in town) was giving him trouble. His office is on the top floor and gets very hot and he was so looking working in more comfortable conditions. He walked in the office this morning and was delighted his office was cool. As he walked towards it the unit shut down and he couldn't get it going again.

So after Coffee Club I dropped in to see if I could help. While he was seeing to one of his clients/patients I got it to work.

The big smile on his face was a great reward for my efforts.

Balled Eagle Good for you, you are a good friend. How do those portable air conditioners work? What was the problem with your friends unit? I have been considering one for my class B Motorhome van. Keep Cool

Thanks abucusblack. He was delighted that I offered to help, thrilled I got it working.
Good friends help each other, without being asked.

It seems there is a problem with the electrical outlet the unit was plugged into. Nothing wrong with the unit itself.

I think this is the unit he purchased.

Noma Portable Air-Conditioner, 9,500 BTU
Product #43-5441-8
http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/3/HouseHome/1/HeatingAirConditioning/AirConditioners/PRDOVR~0435441P/Noma%2BPortable%2BAir-Conditioner%252C%2B9%252C500%2BBTU.jsp

You can learn how it works on the Q&A page.
Note the dimensions on the Specs page. Might be a big large for a motorhome.

He has it draining into a 5-gallon bucket.

I was thinking one of those units would be great in the middle of my living room, so stopped in Canadian Tire on the way home from his office. They are completely sold out on all A/C units and fans.

One of my girls (at work) gave me her 2 week notice today. I pretended to be happy for her and congratulated her on moving ahead. but really I was delighted to see her go as she has been one of the most whiny annoying employees that has ever worked for me.

BE: regarding the A/C units, the newer models do not have any drains for water. I am not sure what happens to the water. I have a very old unit that collects water in a catch basin and my new one does not. Good luck finding one. Last year when Home Depot was out I found a local distributor (small store that just sold these units) and they had some.

I stayed after my usual makeup booked event to do makeup for 2 teenage girls who are from a group home for mentally challenged kids. It was late, I was exhausted, my sponsor company, Arden, had nothing to gain from it. But the smile on their faces seeing themselves as beautiful for the first time.....priceless.

I donate to Amnesty International on a monthly basis but for an individual person I would say that I picked up a wallet in a store and returned it to customer service.

I didn't smoke the moron that was on a motorcycle yesterday afternoon who decided to pass me on the shoulder of the road on the canyon highway on the way home from a fishy trip. What I did do was pull over in Hope at the Chevron when I saw him and ask him for his wifes name and address so that I could explain to her why her hubby was going to be dead before the end of the summer. I did give the patrons of said gas station their laugh for the day thou. I do have to say,he was one big sonofbiatch.

Well, I went to see my friend play live @ the commodore in his Band "the TVees" and ended up selling their CDs instead of being in the crowd. I was on the guest list but I paid anyways. Local Bands need support!!! I didn't get to hang around, 'cause it was a school night so I couldn't congradulate him for a super performance even. Who was that masked man!!

Taught an 85 y/o man to play cribbage. I don't know if that's counted as doing something nice for someone as I probably just frustated and annoyed him :)
