I have actually met some awesome females who I'm also building friendships with. It's nice to have a few fems to yammer with. I've never had many fem friends. The sports nut in me tends to scare them off.

OP.......every LTR I've had (don't ask) began through friend's introductions. So making more friends on POF can't hurt............the worst that can happen is you've got more friends...

Ive made so many friends at the get togethers that some would say it no way, or think im tryin to blow things up but they would have to be there first hand to enjoy some of the experiences I have experienced. Yes I would agree that pof means just plenty of friends with no one actually wanting something romantic/long term. My experience has been dismal here with nearly a good portion of the people here just wanting someone to talk to and hang out with instead of actually wanting a romantic long term relationship along with a good portion of them so emotionally distraught they can't hold a relationship anyway.
So far I am not impressed with this site but I am here just in case someone worth while comes along. | |

Posted: 9/13/2009 1:14:16 PM | I have made many wonderful friends on this site that I will cherish their friendships for a long time to come. I have also met many acquaintances as well - having attended many events, co-hosted and hosted.
The events are the opportunity to meet in a group atmosphere - and then see what happens.
As for meeting my "soulmate" or the man I am searching for - haven't found him yet - but also haven't given up......I know he is out there looking for me too and it is just a matter of time before we find each other.
Remember a great saying - "no expectations = no disappointments"
To find that someone special - especially for long term - you will still need to start as friends to form a solid foundation....we are adults but no one is willing to always jump two feet before looking carefully to see if and what they are jumping into!
Best of luck to everyone in their search and fishing quest - but remember - if all you walk away from here is a couple of good friends - you still are very fortunate! | |
