Posted: 4/2/2005 8:10:59 AM | I thought the inaugural event for POF was a huge success largely in part to Olivercloseoff. She organized the event, made everyone feel welcome and even got us free drinks.
Three cheers for the host!!!
We had a chance to introduce ourselves at Hudsons in a nice quiet and comfortable atmosphere. I had quiet a few good laughs in just a short period of time, and met some interesting people.
We then headed of to the Standard, where we did some dancing. I know it made me feel good to see the envious looks of all those young men as our group was dancing with the best looking ladies in the club!
To all of you that didn't make it out, you missed a wonderful opportunity. | |

I was tempted to come up to Edmonton for the fun - unfortunately I just couldn't.
So glad to hear that everyone (except for leg breaking man) had a blast...I thought the hostess did a wonderful job of getting the party organized.
Table dancing and all? Damn! I'm coming to your next one!

Sorry about the bit of miscommunication at Hudsons. They didn't put out any reservation signs as they promised so the initial rounding up of people all over the pub was a bit difficult--However, once everyone found each other, there were some good laughs :D. For all of you that came but unfortunately did not see our group in the corner and weren't given any helpful directions from an uninformed bartender (next time, I'll personally tell him when I arrive, about the get together and where he can direct any people that may ask him) SORRY to have missed a wonderful opportunity of meeting you. :(
Well, once again, thank-you to everyone that showed up. I had a remarkable time!!
