After all, technically, from our teen yrs (oftentimes early teen yrs) into ....well, much much older...... we could (theoretically at least) have sex and impregnate easily more than once a day. The "labor" side of that is all on the woman; she has the full 9 mo's , etc. The male could simply move on to another female a few hours later (again, just technically physically speaking, I'm not saying I would "endorse" this) and impregnate her as well, and, at my age at least more than likely a third one later on as well.
None of this is meant of course to discount the reality & importance of true love and faithfulness and monogamy. But, I believe there's something more primal , if you will, within men to desire .... well, more sex on average, plain and simple, than your (average) woman does in many cases. Or to have a "wandering eye", even if he never actually touches anyone else. They / we still look, and admire. And there's always fantasy. Some men use porn as a visual aid, married or not. Some do not.
