Posted: 9/13/2006 6:20:45 AM | Well to add my 2 cents I was married for 19 years and my wifes sex drive was alot less than mine I could go 3-4 times a day and nothing has changed with age but, anyway it was much easier to masturbate than to constantly bother her and get frustrated when she did not want sex. Sometimes its either masturbate or look outside the marriage and take the chance of losing someone you love. It is hard enough to find someone these days and if you find a perfect woman for you in every way except sex drive you deal with it and if you have to masturbate to keep everyone happy then you do it. I sometimes feel that it is very hard to find a woman with a high sex drive and men constantly think about sex I know if it was up to me my wife/girlfriend would be naked all the time. LOL | |

There were many nights when I woke up horney for no real reason other than being a male but I didn't want to disturb her sleep. Besides, she was the type who was "complainful" if I were to wake her up for that.
Also, doing yourself is a different sensation than what you get from having sex. That doesn't mean that it can be better or worse, just different but still pleasureable. I had an ex-girlfriend once and sometimes all we would do is have foreplay and then masterbate ourselves while lying next to each other. Oh, those were the days! What happened to them? Masturbation makes a bad day better, a good day great, passes the time with someone you love, and shouldn't be considered wrong, hurtful, or something to take personally. Besides, you said you were in bed and woke up to find this. Is what offends you the fact that he allowed you to sleep while he took care of his needs? Perhaps you would appreciate it more if he would instead sneak out of the house and pick up a prostitute... after all, she's real too. I really think you hit the nail on the head when you said that you wish he would give you more attention, and likely not just when he's doling out a bit of self-love while you're snoozing. You should sit him down and tell him that you're hurt, but make sure you understand why you're hurt in the first place. It probably has very little to do with the fact that he was masturbating, but rather what you think him masturbating means in some grand sense of things with regards to the state of your relationship.

1) Men are visually stimulated 2) The plethera of porn doesn't help. Porn can so easily lead us guys astray. It is unfortunate but I have "trained" myself to be more sexually turned on looking at porn than being with a real woman. If not more turned on by, certainly feeling safer with sex from this observational standpoint where I can stay far enough removed so I can get my jollies without the risk of getting rejected. Hence, staring and glancing at passing babes is even safer still but able to increase those ever lovin' endorphins of mine. For me, I would be terrified to cheat on my girlfriend and would likewise be crushed if she cheated on me. The object of "looking" is really for the endorphin rush.
