Posted: 10/31/2007 4:42:05 AM | I was married to a man for 7 years that was 14 years younger than me. We had a great relationship for a long time. Cheating, or things like that, were not what split us up.
I still prefer younger men. Maybe not that much younger, but atleast 2-5 years.
The men my age, or the older than me, just don't seem to want to do anything.
I know there are older men out there that are still very active, but I have not found one. | |

Civil discourse is always encouraged; however the way some people in this thread got so offended at the topic idea seems to be a little more personal. Why anyone would get so up in arms about something they can't control; oh wait!?

...maybe it is about control....and here I thought it was about choices and the freedom to make those choices....hmmm, but control is all about taking away those choices isn't it, our feedoms, our very existance...taking over our bodies completely....like in the Body Snatchers....oh sorry, sometimes I tend to get a bit carried away... Yeah so I've dated an occasional younger guy, didn't work out no biggie.

As with most matters, why does anyone not involved in the situation get so hell bent out of shape what someone else does with their life, as some of the posters on this thread have done. They are taking a woman's choice to date someone younger, as a personal attack on themselves. The women's reasons for dating a younger man, seem to also get them crazy. However, if the reasons don't apply to you, then you have no reason to get crazy.
It seems to me, that it's an old story of blame everyone else for your misfortunes in life. Women in this thread aren't saying they won't date men their age or older; they are giving reasons why they are dating younger. Rather than attacking the women, it would seem to me it might be more beneficial to listen to what they have to say and take it to heart. | |

Posted: 10/31/2007 8:45:04 PM | I've been thinking about this a lot lately and here's my personal theory on this...
Young men in their 20's and 30's, in this day and age, are A LOT more mature than they were when we older women were THEIR age! I think they're more mature,(some, anyway), and more aware of themselves then when I was their age. There's something very appealing about that. Guys these days in their 20s and 30s seem to know what they want. Some are more intellectual and intelligent and, for ME, that's what attracts me to them!
Now, whether they are mature enough to want a full-on serious relationship with a woman 10 years or more older than they are, that's when it gets tricky. I, for one, DO want a long-term lasting relationship that will eventually evolve into marriage - but a guy that much younger than I am, may just want a fleeting relationship - nothing serious for now. So, it can be a bit of a danger zone.
However, the pics on this site of the 20 and 30 year old guys are sometimes so attractive, (and that includes some of their profiles, as well), that I have to shake my head when I notice their age!!! LOL | |

Posted: 11/24/2007 3:42:08 PM | Hello, men my own age just don't come on to me. I did recently date a man (1st time) who said he was 4 yrs older than me (met him on here). But he acted 20yrs older than me. Nice guy, very old fashion ideas, ended up he had an equipment problem that he was kind enough to share on the 2nd date, but i had already made up my mind he wasn't for me. Absolutely no chemistry there. He had a closed mind to many things that i am very open to & was always saying " those youngsters" when a couple would pass us & they looked to me to be in their 30's or 40's  . So i just told him , the old , we can be friends thing.
I am constantly appoarched by younger men. I do draw a line though cos some are REALLY young & i figure their just looking for a teacher. Don't wanna go there. It seems older men are very set in their ways (old fashion ways) & aren't interested in whats' happened in the generations they were off the market. European men think i'm one hot lady but they have to already be here & usually their still in another country.
 Not that i'm opposed to living else where but how the heck do u get to know someone with an ocean between you ?
As far as younger men not being able to "get it" from younger women.... oh come on for the sake of everything what rock have you been hiding under? Younger people are "doing it" all over the place ! OMG  i can't believe you said that | |

I've had some friends in the past but that's all they were. I never actually ended in a sexual relationship with them, I still have some friends but what is the key to get you women in bed? Some are insecure about their body or age. Some take for ever to decide...
