On the other hand, I also have guy friends that are my age & some of them act as young as my son who is 16. I reckon, you just never know until you actually get to know the individual. | |

Can't help it if the majority that I know are YOunger than Me. And I have been with someone who was 15 years younger than Me. And we had the best times together, laughing, crying, and just being their for each other. We are still best Friends.

I date younger men exclusively, and I don't treat anyone poorly. I think my contemporaries are great - I just don't want to date them, and, frankly, very few of them want to date me. I am sure they have their reasons, just as I have mine. | |

Everyone is different....I have known 45 yr olds that were like 70 yr olds and
50 yr old who were like 35 yr olds..... People age at different rates.
Chronological age isn't the criteria...its biological age and emotional age that counts.
I don't want to date a guy that makes me feel like I am dating my father or my son.
Someone who is an equal mentally and emotionally would be just fine...
no matter what his age. | |

Posted: 6/23/2006 8:10:02 PM | I will pass on my experiences about cougars. First off, you should know a little about me. I grew up in a very diverse neighbourhood. From my 'hood came accountants, Lawyers, truck drivers, motorcycle gangs and people who broke into cars just to have a place to sleep. I've seen a lot.
The most degrading of the group are cougars. They lack respect for those who do not serve their needs. What I mean is, if you can't serve their needs they turn their back on you and act as though you are below them, verbally and suggestively. This attitude is vastly displayed in many threads.
This is my take on a cougar (My_Island's dictionary, so to speak).
Cougar (koo-ger) N. 1. A woman who partakes in meaningless sex acts with men much younger than themselves as a replacement for mental and emotional shortcomings, yet still partakes in meaningless sex with affluent older men, as well, in order to gain gifts and be spoiled like a child. 2. An affluent/independant woman in a midlife crisis. 3. A woman who will not respect men her own age until it is too late. 4. An old shoe with a new sock and no laces. | |
