What you don't realize is that NOBODY IS PERFECT! Every single one of us has something that keeps us from being perfect or from being a perfect standard from what society deems "perfect"! I certainly respect that your opinion of obese woman not be attractive TO YOU. The problem with that is she did not pose the question of WHY AREN'T ANY MEN ATTRACTED TO BBW'S...That was NEVER the question! The deal is any woman (includeing myself) that is a BBW or "larger woman" on this site that is STRAIGHTFORWARD enough about it respects herself and the HONESTY of being up front that she is a larger woman and being upfront about it! Personally, I have 10 times more confidence than just about any woman I know...the thing about life is that no matter what package your in...eventually to lead a successful happy life you have to accept yourself and love yourself without reservation. I do! I also respect anybody that isn't attracted to me for being a larger woman and I don't expect them to change that mindset. There are men out there that think that I'm HIDEOUS because of it and on the contrary there are also men out there that think I'm gorgeous. But isn't that everyone...No matter what package we're in SOME PEOPLE will be attracted and SOME WON'T! That is the dating world as it is! NOBODY is asking YOU to become attracted to bigger woman! Another point is that you put in there that you do not get winded canoeing, or hikeing or doing anything sports related. That has NOTHING to do with the question posed and furthermore I'm 25 years old and have been obese since I was 9. I am very much phyisically active and LOVE to do those activities and am not WINDED as well. Any woman that is a BBW (like myself) on this site that posts pictures of themselves, that is straightforward about it in my mind is a chill person because they are being HONEST. And btw, I think it's funny that you don't even have a picture posted of yourself....Is some average sized woman going to know what you have to offer based on NO PICS? The deal this site is about POSTING ads of being HONEST AND SAYING this is who we are...if your interested HIT ME UP..if your not..Go to the next Ad...well YOUR NOT so GO TO THE NEXT ADS....and stop ASSUMING that we're ANGRY at men for not being attracted to us! | |

I'll just say i have no problem with getting a man but you do have to look out for the ones who are negative and want only sex. Just continue to respect yourself...i'm in the thick category but i would like to get on the job and loose a lil tummy and eat better for my health. It should be about being healthy and not trying to look like a model. | |

Posted: 10/23/2006 4:55:20 AM | Talk about reverse size discrimination and steroetyping based on appearance...as someone who had the opposite problem growing up, it is not any easier to be too thin. I tried everything to gain weight, and used to force myself to eat even when I wasn't hungry, drank ice cream shakes by the gallon. So what everyone is saying is that when a heavy women dresses well and wears make-up she "cares about her appearance" but a skinny woman is "shallow" a heavy women is "confident" and a skinny woman is "arrogant", people that go to the gym and care about their health and appearance are dumb jock types or dingbats, while heavy people are "secure and intellectual"
basically, there are a lot of people assuming that thin people are arrogant, materialistic, dumb, inhibited,frigid, not good in bed, do not make good friends, have no substance , have hangups, cold personality, small hearts, insecure, shallow, unhappy and the majority of people who are attracted to thin women did not have a good relationship with their mother....
if you think that people assume all heavy people are lazy, eat a lot, etc... this forum makes the same assumptions about thin people, and doesn't take into account fast metabolisms, thyroid problems, etc....
I have been both heavy and slender, but I personally was uncomfortable when I had gained weight, physically uncomfortable as well as uncomfortable with my appearance. I chose to lose weight, and if that makes me shallow, so be it. But it makes me shallow with a brain, two college degrees, one a 4.0, the other a 3.8, and I am the least materialistic person around, and not self-absorbed, I volunteer with the humane society, and am the first to help anyone, whether it be friend, family or a stranger, when I can, I don't make judgments based upon appearance, but on behaivor. And no, I am not unhappy, cold, frigid and as far as being good in bed, never have had any complaints, and if some posters want to make sweeping statements about heavy women having more to hold on to in bed, then one can say that thin women are flexible and can twist their bodies up into a pretzel...
I wonder what would have happened if the same quotes had been posted, but the word skinny replaced with fat or BBW replaced with thin beautiful woman....
- I find the some of the more fashionably skinny just have no substance
-I admire BBWs', their virtues are kindness, justice, generosity, intelligence and love that your ready to give not only your man but anybody around you.
-BBW's make the best friends and when romance blooms are also wonderful uninhibited bed partners
-I just like reality and confidence and sexuality, not arrogance and fake body parts.
-I've always prefered fuller figured women mainly because they have been gentler and more -responsive to me, and then having a whole armfull of gentle willingness to crush in my arms
-whatever! there are so many larger women that are simply awesome and believe it or not we usually have fewer hangups about our bodies than thin women. I have also noticed that larger women have great personalities, and we are happier and funnier than many smaller women.
-I personally have never been into thin or overly muscled men. I like 'em big, with a belly and jolly looks.
-So, on the other hand, there is a whole subset of men out there who work out and spend the time on their bodies that is better spent on bettering their minds, and I wouldn't give them a second glance in public. When I get a message from a guy, look at their profile and see photos of them preening with their shirts off, I hit delete.
-To me, a big woman has a big heart. I like women who are soft and cuddly. Barbie dolls only break your heart. Anyway, Barbie's boobs are fake and Ken is gay!
-and don't mean to offend...but bellydancers who have no hips and look bone thin....just don't look right to me...anyone can bellydance...
-and i mean real curves...not Christina Aguilera curves...on a size 0 body....
-Sorry guys, but I'm going to stick My neck out here.....size IS important....the size of the heart that is. For Me, give Me a woman with curves anytime, with some of these stick insects, I'd be frightened to hug them, in case they snapped in half at the waist. And besides, on the "fun" side.....curvy gals have more to explore? I also feel that you can see the warmth in a person in their face, and with that said...
-read the book "skinny women are evil" by the comedian Monique....it is hilarious....it will give u a whole new perspective on bbw...
-to bad you are so young and know live so far a way. i like to date women at have curves on them instead of something that looks like they need a few good meals. i have also found that women that are a bit heavy are more confidant don't care what others think and are way much more fun to be with.
-Seems that men who like larger women had very loving mothers and a great relationship with them. Conversely ones who like slight women did not have the before mentioned benefits!…
-Me myself i think that skinny women are usually very self involved.
-Oh if youlive in a very warm weather state, ie. Cal. Fla. etc. you will definately be surrounded by shallow people who think thin is the only way to be.
-then deal with the hot, slim, women who are just after your money.....and stop complaining about them as well

Posted: 11/1/2006 7:24:21 PM | skinny people can whine all they want about how hard it is to put on weight...but the fact remains that society as a whole discriminates far more against people who are overweight than those that are underweight...yeah people who are anorexic are going to be called into question...but they will still be more accepted than someone who is grossly overweight
no one should assume that every overweight person is lazy...some of us have active busy lives, AND exercise regularly....I can go to a club and dance for hours, and not give a damn if i sweat, while the skinny chicks with their fake boobs are standing on the side afraid their make up will run...and don't want to muss up their hair...
i've been up and down with my weight all my life...photos of me at my thinnest...are just plain gross...i look horrible...and even older than i do now...and my breasts were almost non existant....right now i'd love to tone up...but three years ago i was the same clothing size, nice and tone, about 15llbs lighter but still considered big...i was dancing 9-2am twice a week....I'd love to be like that again....but skinny again....no way...thick and curvy is how i like myself... | |

what a bunch of crap, you think it's ok to dismiss someone a skinny person's concerns about putting on weight, but understand a heavier person's concerns about being accepted. Not all skinny women are anorexic, some have an extremely fast metabolism
Not everyone assumes that overweight people are lazy, so you shouldn't assume that "skinny chicks with their fake boobs" stand on the side at a club and don't dance because they are afraid that their make-up will run and their hair would get messed up, nor is every skinny person anorexic
just because you at your thinnest said that your boobs were almost non-existant, doesn't mean that all women are the same, for chrissakes I have had thin friends that wanted to get breast reduction, it is genetics, and for those who do want/have fake boobs, it's a personal choice, and doesn't affect you, so live and let live
people who are secure in who they are, and accept themselves for who they are, don't need to insult others based on appearance to boost their own self-esteem
if someone is judging you based on your outward appearance, they aren't someone you want in your life, but if you think about it, you are guilty of doing the same

Posted: 11/2/2006 4:11:19 AM | not once did i say that EVERY skinny woman is anorexic...however when bones are sticking out, people do wonder...just as people may see a fat person and wonder, why don't they get their act together....notice i did not say ALL people...
again i said....It has been proven over and over in research and experiments that skinny people are always more accepted than an overweight person....that we as a society are more apt to discriminate against an overweight person than a skinny person....
so while i understand some thin people want to gain weight (though i deal with skinny girls every day who think they are fat and need to lose weight, some of whom cut themselves because they think they're not perfect...also deal everyday with kids who are made fun of based on their weight) the fact is people with no weight issues are going to be accepted overall more so than an overweight person and they should know this...high fashion and Hollywood are living proof that thin is in...I don't see any thick curvy girls on "America's next top model"
as for the girls at the club i go to...they're there...since you don't go to the same club I go to, then you cannot assume that I am wrong...these are observations made not only by me but both male and female friends who are there with me as well...and no they were not just fat friends either...one idiot guy once told me i was the most beautiful woman in the place and if i lost weight then maybe someone would dance with me
AND i never said that all women lose their boobs when they are skinny...i said I did...this was my experience...mine have changed sizes a few times...after i breast fed they completely went away...and now are bigger than ever...
and I never judge anyone based on weight...because of my battles with people discriminating against me because of weight, I would never do the same...I have friends of every shape, size, race, and creed....and have dated people of every shape, size, race and creed...do i think people who are grossly overweight or underweight are attractive, not necessarily, but i can empathize and support them in their battles for acceptance....and would never dislike any person based on their size | |

just responded to what you wrote, and what some others have written
trust me, it IS horrible to be underweight, I was 100 lbs until I was 26, and I am now 130, and I am sooo much happier. When you are too thin, a lot of people assume you are anorexic, and I didn't exercise because I was afraid of losing weight. I had some family members who cracked jokes when the charity sites for starving children came on, that I looked just like them, and as far as boobs, I had none.
I agree there are the club girls who are all about the way they look, and are stuck up beyond belief, as well as the girls who go to the beach in full make-up and a can of hairspray on their heads, but not all thin women are that way, nor is that behaivor limited to just the skinny girls.
Models these days are waaayyy to thin, that is why the industry is adopting weight requirements, so as to try to reform what is acceptably thin and what is not. As far as curvy models, I think Cindy Crawford, Christy Brinkly, and Tyra Banks are perfect examples of what is sexy and healthy, and that is the look that the industry is now trying to get back to, as they are now taking responsibility for putting out an unhealthy image as what girls should try to emulate, and I am speaking of girls who are not naturally skinny, and go to unhealthy measure to try to attain the "look" of Kate Moss types.
On America's Top Model, there have been curvy women, whether or not they won the competition is irrelevant as there is more to winning than appearance, they have to be able to do commercials, runway, interview people, etc... but the fact remains, out of thousands who applied to be on, they made the initial cut, and the women are a diverse mix, there is not one cookie cutter ideal represented.
When I was too thin, I did not think I needed to lose weight, it was quite the opposite, and on the other spectrum, I had friends who were heavy who had utterly no sympathy for my problem, but expected me to feel bad for them, I am just saying that I can see both sides, and have been on both sides, and for myself, and only myself, did I work to change my appearance, as far as I am concerned, if you don't like how I look, then don't look.
I wasn't trying to be nasty with you, it just seems that there are posters on here who make assumptions about thin people, and the concensus seems to be that thin people are stuck up, have fake boobs or no boobs at all, etc....and don't seem to grasp the idea that they are doing the same thing thing to thin people as they think society does to heavy people.
and I do not think that there is anything wrong with women who want to get breast implants, nose jobs, etc....as long as they are doing it for the right reasons, which is to feel better about themselves, not so that they fit a mans ideal of what a woman should look like. | |

But I hear catty comments behind her back from larger women almost every time we go out. "I hope she likes starving herself" - she eats more than I do, she just burns it off naturally. "She's so skinny her boobs must be fake" - um, NO..all natural & they're spectacular. "It's no fair they make all the cool clothes for stick figure girls like that"...This cracks me up because almost ALL her clothes have to come from specialty catalogs because dept. stores around here know they are going to sell a whole lot more size 14s than they are size 4s. | |

I mean any physical "type" be it BBW or skinny, or big boobs..is by definition a "sexual fetish"...someone is attracted to you because of your physical make up.
In order for there to be more requires that one steps outside that "fetish" and be a real person. for that to be true than you need to have someone that is attracted to you for reasons that have nothing to do with body type.
So its a little llike asking "are there women who are truly attracted to men with miniscule peckers?"....well if there are than the rest of you is rather irrelevant.
But I hear ya in that you want someone to be attracted to you physically, whatever size you are, but at the same time you want them to see more than a "fetish"...well this is why human sexual/romantic relationships are tricky...its "tension of opposites" and most of us are prettty dam confused..whatever our body types..lol | |

Posted: 11/2/2006 3:27:58 PM | Actually when I go shopping, and find something fantastic i want to wear, it is usually out in my size and all that's left is a stack of extra smalls and smalls...I used to work at a store in the mall and when we got sizes in we got the majority of sizes in small and medium...and my two favorite stores Express and Limited stopped carrying size 14 and only go to 12, I am trying to hard to lose about 7-10lbs so i can wear their pants again, the funny thing is their tops fit me...they have large and xtra large but not in pants...weird...and forget abercrombie and fitch...their pants go to size 10 i think...and even their large shirts are made to fit a large little girl...
but i think if u look at the original question and look at some of the men's answers, you will see why women who are thicker and curvier than normal get upset...i mean the guy who said big girls are like mopeds, you enjoy riding them but you don't want your friends to see you with one? how cruel is that? I was told at the club by a man, that I was the most beautiful woman in the place, and if I lost some weight maybe someone would dance with me...he didn't seem to understand i dance alone so as not to deal with a guy trying to take me home, that and the fact most can't keep up with me on the dance floor anyways...
people can be very cruel and it's especially damaging to young girls coming up....my daughter was always around a size 10 yet the girls at her school were around size 2, 4, 6...and they gave her hell calling her fat...nothings changed much cuz i caught hell in school way back when too....I used to be so happy when someone bigger than me was in the class so they'd get picked on and not me
it's true we need to be more accepting and look at what's on the inside and teach kids to do the same | |

It allows her to be free with her feelings and therefore allows me to be free with mine towards her. I also love the feeling of snuggling with a thick and curvy woman. She feels soft, and in my eyes perfect. I feel that I look at a bbw and just see a woman but I am attracted to them over thinner women. I havent dated a thin woman since middle school. I am not small at 5'10" 250 but that has no bearing on my choices. Its not a sex thing to me but a preference. Dont get me wrong, sex with a bbw is better but in my case its because I am more into the emotional side of sex and I feel better emotionally with someone who I am more compatible with. | |

I think most people who are BBW didn't chose to be that way, it's just the way they there genetics are made up.
