My dad is fully brazilian and my mom is fully dutch go figure.So Not coming from a full cracker attitude .and brownsugar is black. But i have to say brownsugar1313 is on alot of same forums as i go on. Its refreshing to see somone in n.America with common sense. Thats what we have to worry about. Where becoming dummer as a country. All this bull we produce more of this and that in education. Is bull. Our teachers have become so ideological. That there helping "dumming down America". Thats both sides right wing or left wing. Where already a third world country in our common sense. You can see that in this thread. Some of the smartest people in school with degrees are some of the dumbest ive ever met. oxymoron but welcome to the new country America. Thank you Brownsugar for having some common sense. Very refreshing. I have to make jokes on these things because i would go crazy from all the dummies on here. P>S Im better then all of yall. Kidding jeeezzz. It took me a short while to discover that there were some blacks that hated whites,and jews. Since I fell into both categories,I had trouble. Harassment. Discrimination. I went to E.E.O. Problem-it's run by blacks. And with a black woman postmaster of N.Y.-Bronx who was friendly with the operations manager,I was in trouble. I went to lower manhattan,E.E.O.C.,and filed a very long report,which I had to swear to under oath. I was scheduled for a hearing. I arrived with my shop steward. ( He'd been with me all along. ) Our mediator,who would decide my case,was black. I thought this was my third strike. But,a number of hours later,I'd won. And I'll never forget my fellow employees,black and white,who would speak with me every day,telling me how sorry they were.But this has scared me for life. I don't look at people the same way. These two hateful people are no longer in their high positions,but it took me months to scar them. And I do HOPE that I bump into them someday. | |

The people who come up with diversity training are people who realize that it's not acceptable to say anything you like in the work place. Think of it like this; you are a woman. How would you feel if every time you went to work you had to hear derogatory statements made about women? Or, you had to endure constant sexual harassment from male (and in this day and age, possibly female) coworkers? How about a nice slap on the a$$ whenever you walked by a male, or certain group of male coworkers, or higher ups? If you don't need diversity sensitivity training, that's great. But, just because you know better than to treat minorities with anything less than disrespect, doesn't mean everyone does.
Racism and sexism, either intended or unintended, can cause a company big bucks in law suits and employee turnover. In the end, it's good business sense.
Also, I would like to see a provable example of a "Special" position, or positions, created just for the sake of diversity.

Yes there are some, many in fact, black folk who can not stand white people and as many white folk have pointed out in this topic, everyone is entitled to free speech. I think that everyone is entitled to a fair shake be it jobs, promotions, school etc but many forget that if you had willingly allowed minorities into your establishments, there would be no such things as affirmative action.
Thing is all this equality is for the birds. Either someone likes you or they dont so black people we also need to fix our own shit. No point bussing your kid to the burbs for school when our own shit is completely broken. I got a $ 50 ticket for littering thanks to a sharp eyed trooper.
I personally plan to have a child with every race. Unlike madonna I intend to participate fully. Yes ladies, I am now takeing applications .Do my part for world peace.
White people, I dont hate you. I have learned to live through the ignorant ones I come across. One shining moment I was walking down a walk way and two old white ladies were walking towards me. They inconspicuously crossed the road, moved in a semi circle and once past me returned to the walkway. I just turned around and shouted, "Hey, If I wanted to rob you do you think that little detour would have helped ?" The looks on their faces were priceless. Also one good thing is that when I walk into the bank, my service is swift and without error. As soon as I set foot in, "hey, how are you doing, right this way sir." They dont want top antagonize the negroe. Thank you black skin.
I personally dont care for things such as affirmative action. Sad that they were necessary. If I ever found out I was hired or advanced in some way to balance some equal opportunity action, I would quit on the spot.
Black people, the powers that be have no reason or inclination to do more than make token concessions from time to time , thus quietining "noisy leaders" but never changeing the inferior situation of the masses. Once again, pointing out that modern day individuals are "hypocritical" because their incidental ancestors did "oppressive" things, is quite simply stupid. And illogical. You can't validly call Person X a hypocrite because that person contradicts Person Y. Only in a collectivist little mind would such an idea even occur. | |
