Where are the geeky girls?

I think I used to be geeky but conformed quite a bit over the last decade.

When I was younger I was more into computers, gaming, computer graphics, webpages, and even Star Trek. I was rated in the top 10 on the CLQ monitoring the Quake servers, they all thought I was a guy. I cared nothing about my appearance and was even known to duct tape the soles back on a pair of shoes I really really liked. I had really long hair because I hated going to hair dressers and I wore mostly black listening to heavy metal music. I read a lot of sci-fi and horror. I could draw some pretty wicked pictures of monsters, demons, and aliens.

I was never into dungeons and dragons or trek convention type stuff though. I was a loner and that required you liked group things and I wasn't really into that kind of thing. I was also never fanatical. It was more like I lived in my own little bubble of creativity and let very few people in but loved to play.

You could find me back then on the net but didn't have too much trouble getting into relationships. I might have been geeky but had a lot better relationships than a lot of my non-geeky friends.

But alas, I had to conform for professional reasons.

Well I love geeky girls. They are the ones that are attractive, but yet so smart. Most are down to earth and that makes them even more attractive. They are also cool hang with because they more than likely lack all the drama of The Hills Wanna Be's. LOL.

I agree! They are also easier to talk to, have a great sense of humor, and many interests including some odd ones but that makes them even more interesting and attractive to me. I'd rather spend time with someone unique than a woman with a "sheep mentality" that only likes something because society tells her she should like it.......different is good!

well, i like to think of myself as a lady nerd. and there are lots of us out there. we just hide it at times. sometimes guys can't deal w/ smart chicks. such as life, i suppose.

i usually meet guys in bookstores, since that's one of my main hangouts. yea, i love books....and coffee. and bookstores have both! yay! i am, also, a gamer and computer nerd. i, also, hang out at arcades and frequent gaming conventions.
