To be honest. Watching someone program is HaWt. (yes, with a capital w)
Hearing someone talking to other network specialists, and talking in a lingo that sounds like greek... Hawt.
(Unless they A. Don't know what they're talking about B. Talk down to people or C. Are just doing it to try and get me going.
I've been called a geek many a time. It's the highest complement I could get or give.
To my uber geek friends, I'm not that much of a geek. More of a geek lover.
To my art friends, I 'am' the uber geek.
"Geek" is a complement.
If you think you are a geek, but you don't know what you're talking about, you are not a geek, you are a dork.
If you think you are a geek, but the only skill you have is extensive Star Wars knowledge, you are not a geek, you are a dork.
Just to get that straight.
Where are the geeky girls?
Aside from me?
Well calling internet tech support untill you get a girl is a good start, but that could take a while.

Posted: 5/19/2006 9:43:43 AM | I go for lunch at the local food court in a downtown office building/shopping mall and everyday I hear the geeks chatting about connectivity, hardware compatability issues and so forth. Anyway, being a geek myself, I prefer to lay low because guy geeks tend to latch onto girl geeks and then it just turns into a big geekfest where everyone geeks out.
On the plus side, my partner thinks it's great that he gets 24/7 IT support and that I make house calls. Myself, I enjoy presenting him with a bill and asking how he would like to pay for that . . . . | |

1) The local library, you know you are a geek when someone invites you to go to a club , and your answer is ' I'm sorry , but my library card expires today..."
2) See that wallflower sitting quietly at the back of the coffee shop, reading Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, and staring intensely at your crotch, go for her she has so much unspent passion, it’s quite frightening actually
3) You can find us browsing at Chapters or HMV, or some cool offbeat music store….you can also find us at “ SEX Toys for Hoos”, since we are often boyfriend-LESS, and spend many a Saturday night, engaging in solo endeavours.
4) At your local movie theatre, especially the one’s that play foreign films, buying two tickets one for herself, and a second one for her imaginary boy toy Brad Pitt.
5) Just chilling like a villain in some park, while again staring intensely at your crotch & sipping on some ICE CAPP…Do take your shirt off pleazeeeee….
6) At your local grocery store, contemplating life, death, & Ice-cream.. Should I go for Vanilla, or should I try that new double chocolate flavour decisions decisions …..or should I continue to avoid the vegetable aisle…. | |

huh. Ya, I'll have to totally disagree with everything you've said. Whoever you're defining isn't a geek. That would be more along the lines of the chick in school that was 6 feet tall with a big belly and her pants pulled up to her chest and her shirt tucked in that picked her nose and pissed her pants.
