I wont knock you for who your attracted to, to each their own, and all the more power to you. The statements you made are all true for sure, but they are true to all ages . We all have a different fit, as to what we want and dont want...but hey...the statement you made on " but for the most part any man over 35 is pretty well past it. That was said 'tongue in cheek' I hope. Cuz, I am a very blunt person and hun, I promise, all joking aside, from your profile pics, you look somewhat older than your 46 yrs. Maybe in person it's different. It shouldn't matter really. Go after the ones 35 or younger, just be aware of reality...meaning that it is not your looks they're going for. It might be your financial status (only you know where that is...or whoever you share that knowledge with)... or simply the 'security' you provide.
Whether the woman be 35 and younger or 50 and older... for you to attract a physically/emotionally fit woman, it will more than likely not be based on your looks.
As an 'experiment', I put up a definitive shot of myself taken recently displaying my physically fit body... the wolves came out of the woodwork. I was going to leave it on my profile, then, after deleting myself off many a Favs list (leaving ONLY those who were there before and who I regard as friends/potential dates) I took the pic down.
It was a REAL eye opener as to the shallowness of soooooooo many men. Geez. Like they really thought I would respond to them. 
Some of you guys who honestly believe you can get hot younger women based on anything other than your money or other 'material' stuff.... join REALITY. There are wayyyy too many quality guys in their 30s who want a woman based on personality/fitness no matter what age; therefore, limiting you guys - in your 40s/50s and older - options very very severly.
OR... remain in your 'fantasy land' and wake up a very lonely old man one day. Those are the facts Sir... based on the real world. | |

OP I read your post and understood every word.. You are obviously lying about your age and you are misunderstanding the priority between facial beauty and body beauty. Men look at facial beauty first. Unless they just want sex then they go for the body, but then they are not interested in long term only some quickies or longies.. whatever. Stick to your age group 55-65 you'll do much better.
The OP's profile says that she is 51. The majority of people on here seem to think 10+/- is a good range to date. With those two things in mind, that would put her age group at 41-61 for dating.

Posted: 11/8/2006 4:07:05 PM | Hey, we all go downhill in some place on our body at a certain age. For me, it was my teeth and I had no idea why. Dry Mouth ! It was only the top teeth really. So, as usual I'm off to the dentist for the millionth time. It's not my hips, not a big belly, but my top teeth. That's fixable, albeit it costs a lot. But basically...oh yeah....forgot I have some stretchmarks on my boobs. Ohhhh, meanwhile Got a killer face and body....but oh...I have flaws, as do men my age. They creep up on you.....like your hairline moving back.....further and further.
Basically, this is a matter of preference. I do think it's important to look into a person and get to know them, and we don;t do a lot of that here....that's the problem with online dating.

A recent survey showed that men say the first thing they notice about a woman is her eyes. In the same survey, women indicated that the first thing they noticed about men, is that they are a bunch of liars.

I seem to always land at one end or the other...last serious was 40,last fling was 40, interesting gentleman I met recently is 64, how come I keep missing the middle and landing on the edges( not that the edges are ALL bad LOL)

justmeinnc05, I doubt that your photo is recent. That said, women at any given age usually look better than men. Furthermore, women live longer which means, in effect, that women age less slowly. Except in logic and the ability to use good judgment in making decisions, women have most of the advantages. Therefore, comparing women to men is not a fair comparison.

Posted: 11/10/2006 12:49:18 PM | I think age is irrelavant nowdays,i think once your over 30 then you have a better idea of the kind of qualities your looking for in a partner.I seem to find it difficult finding a lady in my age group and i seem to be dating woman ages 45+ and i dont find it a problem it seems more common and acceptable nowdays.
These women are more like ladies,have good sense of humour,have looked after themselves and very confident about themselves .These qualities seem to be missing in women my age. | |

I love it though it seems that it is accepted when it is a older guy wanting to be with a young thing,but when it's a older woman with a young guy everyone has a smart ass comment!!!! Speaking for myself I prefer younger men because they are not dead in bed,,,,,LOL,,,,, and they dont feel as if they have to control a woman. I'm not saying that all older guys are a waste of time I just feel for so many years in our society younger guys with older women have been looked down upon versus older men with younger women. After having met several men ranging in age from 31 to 58, 1st of all - most men lie about their age! by 5 to 7 years...saying they're younger!
Gosh, I didn't know this.
