I second that. I receive daily hate mail from women all the time for wanting to be with someone that takes care of herself. everybody ages but not everyone ages the same way. it's really hard to tell someone that has great qualities and seemingly a great lifestyle that you are not interested because they have let themselves go physically. in my mind body and soul goes hand in hand and makes a hell of a better thing because one offset the other all the time. people who don't actually put an effort into staying young in body and mind can't really understand what it is to work hard everyday and keep at it. they think they know but they dont. it'like being spontaneous, everyone is spontaneous they will say but what about say.... ok pack you bag in 15 minutes we going to take a hike fo rthe weekend? a lot of people say they are in good shape but can they get up and say "cool, lets do that" coz its not harder than going grocerie shopping its easy and natural therefore affected and affeting the mind. body and mind together is really cool especially when there is a thingle under the bead spread as it been since teenage years | |

As long as both people in the relationship are of legal age, who gives a damn?
If a 50 year old woman wants to date younger men, so what.
If a 50 year old man wants to date younger women, so what.
Isn't it hard enough finding someone you're compatible with on every other level that's actually relevant?
Both people in the relationship are happy? Let 'em be. The OP obviously puts a lot of effort into maintaining her body and anyone who can't understand her wanting to be with someone who does the same is either blind or ig'nint. People have things in their life that matter to them a whole lot; things they take pride in. We all do. Some of you folks really need to stop being so defensive and lighten the heck up. She's an individual and as such she's got a right to have personal preferences.

Posted: 6/14/2006 5:04:30 PM | As to the weight thing, I think as a population we have gotten heavier. A lot of fast food, labor saving devices, and not a lot of time to exercise will equal fat every time.
As to the looking older. I think men tend to look older than women for a lot of real reasons.
1. More men work outside in the elements. The sun, wind and cold will age anyone and fast.
2. Men as a rule don't go through all of the skin care that women do: facials, creams, etc.
3. Men tend to drink and party more than women. Yes I know there are women that do this too, but I still think there are more men into the heavy drinking.
I am 49 and not really attracted to a lot of men my age, but it really isn't because I think they have all gone to hell in a hand basket.
It is more because a lot have become bitter, say they don't trust any women because of women in their past. I don't have as much in common with men my age, especially when it comes to music.
Younger men seem to have a much more positive view on a woman's place in the world than men my age.

I told him I was seeing someone younger than I was, and he said something like " reb eling against my age. I said, NO it is just that most of the guys that are my age have a beer belly, can't see their toes, and Just are not attractive to me. I said you know it's funny when we are married and have kids, the men are like when are you going to lose that weight, but if it is a guy past 40 they think it is alright to gain fourty pounds, and nothing be said about it.

A few in the population, men or women are genetically predisposed to age slower and may have less hereditary conditions, like hair loss.
People have differing metabolisms.
And of course people have vastly differing lifestyles. Diet, exercise, ect.
So naturally those few younger looking ones, will be disappointed at their counterparts, in the same age group.
But I have to say, I was utterly amazed how many really HOT older women are on this site! | |
