| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 11/18/2006 7:51:02 AM | | 'Any ideas for a location the Dayton area for a POF "Miss Demeanor meets Mr. Right" evening of fellowship and song? | |
|
| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 11/19/2006 10:04:28 AM | | Either no one reads this forum or no one has any ideas of where to get together in Dayton. | |
|
| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 11/19/2006 10:42:42 AM | The 'gathering' thing is new to me; I'm usually a one-on-one or double date type.
I guess before trying to plan something - like location - we need numbers.
If it's just you and me, then it's simple, isn't it?
(6'1 in heels, eh?) | |
|
| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 11/19/2006 10:54:46 AM | Yes, 6'1" in heels unless I wear the high ones If we can find a few more like me, we can get a basketball game going!!! I think we have a 3rd, a few messages earlier that said he would like to see a holiday get together. So anyone else in Dayton want to come out and socialize...or play a game of basketball???? | |
|
| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 11/23/2006 7:55:45 PM | I have twice posted here that Brixx's (across from 5th/3rd Field) is more than willing to help us hold a get together at their location. Talked to the folks there as recently as two weeks ago. They did say we are now heading into their holiday party schedule time, however. joggerguy | |

| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 11/24/2006 1:21:12 AM | | Considering only 3 of us have been posting for a get together, I don't think we will interfer with anyones holiday party schedule. The other areas of Ohio seem to have regular parties. Does that mean the Dayton folks are all shy or just plain unsocialable??? If nothing else, a get together will give us all a chance to make new friends. | |

| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 11/30/2006 7:16:16 PM | | I have used Marion's near the Dayton Mall for two high school reunions. They are very receptive to events like this. | |

I don't understand this, either. We're constantly presented with get-togethers the entail an alcoholic gathering with at least an hour of driving time. I'd love to see an occasion that I could feasibly take a cab to, if I choose to drink.
|
| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 12/3/2006 7:42:15 AM | We now have 4 social people in the Dayton area Perhaps if we could find a place with internet access the rest of the folks would come out with their laptops and hide behind their screens!!! | |

But....what if we don't have a laptop?
We could have it in a library; lots of computers, no loud music to shout over...wait, they let you bring booze into libraries, right?
|
| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 12/4/2006 2:04:20 AM | Well the proposed meeting site (Marion's by the Dayton Mall) had a fire last night. There is a Marion's in Beavercreek at North Fairfield and Dayton-Xenia Rd. Not far from the Fairfield Commons Mall. What about there? Perhaps if we get something planned a few more will come out of the woodwork and join us.

| Dayton Ohio Meeting Lounge Posted: 12/4/2006 2:58:36 AM | Speaking of Beavercreek.... There is a charity auction Wed. 6th, 6pm at the Beavercreek Country club on New Germany-Trebein Rd. 6pm-Social hour with a silent auction 7pm-Dinner followed by a live Auction. Tickets are 25.00 per person. All the proceeds stay locally. Local, low income families are chosen and gifts are purchased for the kids. Clothes, school supplies and toys. I am not affiliated with this organization, but it is one I support. Through the year, they raise money for adapted tricycles for handicapped kids.

| We have a party Posted: 12/4/2006 2:52:18 PM | Marion's Pizza in Beavercreek Dec. 16th 7pm 1320 North Fairfield Rd. (near the intersection of N. Fairfield and Dayton-Xenia Rd) In the Krogers shopping Center. Please pass the word around and post if you will be attending. We are trying to get a count of how many will be there. | |

| We have a party Posted: 12/4/2006 3:04:09 PM | I'm new to POF but would like to meet new people as friends and see where it leads. This sounds like a great way to start. Count me in I'll be there.

Hey mystlw, I'll be your designated driver if you would like. I even have my Rotary International Designated Driver button right here. Plus you may be more fun to talk to after a few drinks in you. LOL

The people here who have gotten my picture will know me.

I'll try not to be offended by the implication that I'm mind-numbingly boring when I'm sober.
