if they were my best friend,i would have more respect than that for him .......
even if they say it's ok....... it's never really ok.........its always good for hard feelings to date your best friends ex........how awkward.........it's way to much baggage all the way around....theres to many fish in the sea for that.....IMHO....... ................ | |

Would I date a best-friends ex, right after they broke up, or in the near term, no.
But, I suppose if a couple years had gone by, and he was in another relationship, and her and I hit it off... I wouldn't be averse to asking him about his feelings on it. If he had serioius issues with it, it certainly would make me think about it, because I value my friendships. But I wouldn't neccesarily say 100% no f'ing way right off the bat, just because she's a friends ex. | |

If they just went on a couple dates and no feelings developed.... possibly. But only after getting the OK from the friend. Exceptions are if they were together before you became friends and you had NO EARTHLY idea that they dated... fair game. | |

He was in the guy's wedding party when he got married, helped him out when the marriage fell apart a year later and was a very good friend to the guy. What kind of a jerk asks all that of a friend and then goes and gets with the guy's ex-gf less than a month after they break up after dating for over a year? To me it's all about respect or a lack thereof. If a friend really was into an ex of mine and was upfront about it and asked if I would be cool with it I guess I wouldn't have a problem with it - especially if they were both great people and had a chance to make each other happy. Sneaking around behind a friend's back and dating their ex is BS though. | |

They borke up...then my very best friend in the world asked me if he could date her. I said no... he did anyway.
This messed me up pretty good...
