You need to jump the pond to find talented female rock/metal singers. For some reason Americans cannot accept female singers in that genre. Wasnt Judas Priest considering a female singer at one time?

|
| Female singers in hard rock/metal. Posted: 5/19/2006 11:42:37 PM | Cadaveria = Awesome. Astarte is also really good if your looking for that kind kind of vocal style. Admittedly I also enjoyed Sinister when they had Rachel on vocals. Flowing Tears is really good in the Goth Metal vein as well. | |

| Female singers in hard rock/metal. Posted: 5/29/2006 3:47:15 AM | | Even though she's a mess now, Courtney Love was quite a good lead singer, definitely give 'Celebrity Skin' a listen to. I still think 'Malibu' and 'Awful' are two of the best songs ever written by a female rock group | |
|
| Female singers in hard rock/metal. Posted: 6/3/2006 4:29:12 PM | check out Psychobolia. They are a french Death Metal band with a female lead. Sinergy is a good chick-lead metal band, too. And you cant forget Courtney Love from Hole. More alternative-ish than Metal, but I love her voice. She used to be my idol ha. | |

Rather popular over there has about 8 or nine cd's there imports.

| Female singers in hard rock/metal. Posted: 6/11/2006 7:10:41 PM | | I don't think you can call Ann Wilson of Heart a hard rock singer but I think she's one of the best female rock vocalists. Anybody else agree? | |
|
| Female singers in hard rock/metal. Posted: 6/11/2006 10:35:01 PM | | I love Ann Wilson, I would say one of the best yes, actually I always liked her, then saw them in concert and she blew me away. Well the second time I saw them i think I was too drunk to listen the first time. My personal favorite will always be Stevie Nicks something about her voice but another very melodic female sing is candice night from blackmores nights. | |

| Female singers in hard rock/metal. Posted: 6/12/2006 5:06:54 PM | A lot of good ones in this thread...
However, no one has yet mentioned the band Kidney Thieves.... female singer is awesome.... it's more Industrial - but I feel that many people would categorize it as hard rock/metal.
Some good songs by Kidney Thieves are "Dyskrasia", "Black Bullet", "Before I'm Dead" (I think this one was on the Queen of the Damned Soundtrack, not sure though), "Love Song", and "Spank"

Posted: 6/13/2006 3:32:45 PM | Im surprised i havnt seen walls of jericho... they've got a girl dont they?.... and I was at this concert last year and Lamb of God brought up the singer from some little punk band.. that was awsome but i cant remember the name of her band...
and if you want to get really technical, there are those songs with female vocals as part of the music, and have seperate vocals... like mannequinn by Cradle of filth
