Krekker.. Try reading some of the male profiles. A lot of the pot bellied 59 year olds want the 30 to 40 year old slim, beautiful women. I chuckle reading some of them. Do any of those men ever look in the mirror?

| are u too picky? Posted: 5/14/2006 9:26:58 AM | | I don't think I'm TOO picky. I am picky....but only because I am want someone who is perfect for me (not perfect - that doesn't exist!) I admit, I am cautious in the beginning and if I see a red flag, I listen to it. I'm not into dating just for the sake of dating....there has to be some mutual connection or interests. If that makes me too picky.....well...... | |

| are u too picky? Posted: 5/14/2006 1:11:40 PM | | As we get older the pickings get mighty slim. If you are a young woman , you should be VERY picky. After all, he's the guy your kids will eventually spend the weekend with. | |

| are u too picky? Posted: 5/14/2006 4:06:03 PM | I probably am too picky. Why not? I'm self sufficient, and not in a position to really need anyone else except for the social and emotional gratification. In the past, I've made mistakes by not being "picky" enough.
The worst feeling in the world, for me, is trying to figure out how to get rid of someone I don't want in my life. Ugh.
Lots of good people and good friends in the world. Some of them may even be here on POF. We'll see.

I admire you for just letting you're spirit connect with all types of people. Wish I had the same type of courage. It demonstrates you're strong character, so 'kudo's' to you're soul.

I’m so picky my dog even laughs when I talk about my next girl friend.
Picky People >>> NEVER SETTLE - it is not fair to the other person.

| are u too picky? Posted: 5/15/2006 1:15:11 PM | Bald . . . ? That's the solar panel for a sex machine - right!? I had a relationship with a fella who shaved his head - proved the truth about the adage. | |

| are u too picky? Posted: 9/13/2006 1:43:55 PM | | In the past I was not picky enough, then I got burnt one time too many, so now- I am pretty selective about who I will accept a date with. I no longer feel the need to have a man in my life, rather to merely enjoy my life. If someone special comes along- fine...if not- fine! I'm not "waiting to exhale" anymore! | |

Right! I would rather someone was too picky and let me know I wasn't their type then they played along thinking perhaps I would change (with their help?). Or worse yet, took every opportunity to let me know how un-perfect for them I was. I have had relationships like that. Hopefully everyone is picky enough to NEVER SETTLE.

| are u too picky? Posted: 9/13/2006 3:02:22 PM | Yeh I guess I am alittle to picky. Some men look great and sexy bald, others....well. I have to feel the attraction. But I've been attracted to men that after a couple of dates became very ugly. I've always dated looking men. Have found looks only go so far, what is important is honesty, integerity, humor, since of love for family. I once had a date with a man, I asked what is daughters name is and his answer was "you" as in hey "you" don't do that, hey "you" come hear. He said when she doesn't listen he hits her, she is only a 4 year old baby. Then there was the guy who said to me "if I knew then what I know now I would have had myself fixed at the age of 10 years old. My f****** kids have given me nothing but grief in my life." No way will I settle. Do I want to be married again, yes. I love the thought of waking up and falling a sleep with the man of my dreams. Sharing a life with that man for the rest of my life. | |

| are u too picky? Posted: 9/13/2006 4:43:03 PM | A bald man doesn't bother me, a few extra pounds doesn't bother me. I don't have a perfect body, but it's mine. Height doesn't bother me either, a man or woman can't change that. What does bother me in selecting a mate is honesty. If they aren't honest with the first few dates, I feel that won't change, so dump them right back in the pond | |

| are u too picky? Posted: 9/13/2006 10:25:06 PM | I'd answer #1 to your question, Horselady.
When I was in my 20's and not married, my mom told me I was too picky. Thinking about it, we never talked about men - what to look for in a good man, that kind of thing. All she wanted to know, I guess, was when I'm getting married so that she could have grandchildren. Too picky - I've heard that most of my life.
If she only knew what kinds of guys I've dated (many first & last dates), she probably would have said, you need to be more picky. I'm going to be picky, just wish I were also lucky.

| are u too picky? Posted: 9/13/2006 10:47:54 PM | Bald? How about suddenly starting to lose hair, as in last few months, can't take pcs fast enuff! Don;t know who is shedding more...dog or me! But!!! It's not regular.....it's like disappearing in patches!! Can't describe it, because the "patches" are behind me, and I can't turn fast enuff to see them! I know it's them gremlins! I can't possibly be getting this old without previous notice! | |

| are u too picky? Posted: 9/14/2006 5:46:18 AM | This is how I know I watch too much Seinfeld. Almost EVERY post brings an episode to mind.
I am mentally watching the clip of George grilling Jerry when they wanted to fix him up with Elaine's friend Cynthia.
"What about her cheek? Does she have a good cheek? I like a good cheek."
"Is there a rosey glow? A pinkish hue?"
And on her end... "He's just a little bit, a little bit, um, starting to lose his hair."
"He's BALD?????"
Meanwhile what gets lost is that these two people who can't even get A DATE are scrutinizing each other. It's DINNER! Go, enjoy, get over it.
Tell us again how MEN are shallow? I seem to have forgotten how that one goes....
Men all want Barbie? Men all want beauty before anything else? How does that go again?
But worry about a guy being bald...... tsk tsk

| are u too picky? Posted: 9/14/2006 12:27:41 PM | Bald can be pretty sexy on the right guy; short is never good, so I'm with ya on the at least six foot deal. But, of course, if he's a millionaire, he can be short and bald....... but I ain't goin for stupid again -- even if they've got more money than God...... | |
