| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/25/2009 10:01:36 AM | "I think it's disgusting when a man colors his hair. It looks so unnatural and.....eeeewww. It never looks like real hair color and it just makes them look older."
NOT if he uses something besides that crap for men, and doesn't go to the extreme. If a guy wants to color, he should go to a good salon and get it done RIGHT. (Like blending different, natural shades)). Even YOU won't know the difference. So, men, if you want to color, go for it!! Just make it subtle, not coal black or bright orange

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/25/2009 10:05:29 AM | I think this should be a personal decision and it's their own decision to make. having said that, it really isn't necessary as grey hair on a man is extremely sexy!!!

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/25/2009 10:12:14 AM | Personally, I think gray hair on anyone, man or woman, makes them look older than the color of hair before the gray. Even more interesting, I also think it makes them look much less energetic; whether they are or not. Associate it to marketing, if the package looks stale, who will buy it?
I rather agree with that, although a little gray can very attractive if they have a full head of hair. I'm so turned off by white beards though. It reminds me of Santa Claus and who wants to shag Santa?

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/25/2009 5:00:41 PM | | Oh yes men, please color your hair...I think it puts color in your cheeks and if you go to a salon that knows what they're doing the color looks extremely natural. | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/26/2009 10:59:32 AM | I see nothing wrong with it. I do it. Why shouldn't he? Some guys can look 20 years younger just getting rid of the gray | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/26/2009 1:43:45 PM | I don't mind gray. What I do mind is bad hair color on any gender. If you must color, do it right. | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/27/2009 7:06:23 AM | Although I detest that I am graying, if you don a short hairstyle your hair grows out so quickly that it's impossible to keep up with. You just look plain stupid and don't fool anyone. And to add insult to injury, there really isn't a hair dye product that looks convincingly natural -- again, you need more hair to work with to effectively add tints and streaks successfully.
Not only that, hair dye usually gives itself away, as well, because it kills any reflectiveness from giving one's coif a muted, matted appearance. I don't know that I'd be able to credibly fake it if I wanted to.
But if anyone has the silver bullet for this problem, my hearing aid is turned up to 10. (That's a joke: I'm just kidding -- my hearing aid only goes up to 5.)

You believe that short hair grows faster than long hair? Regardless of length, you have to maintain it by having it done every month to six weeks.
New haircolors are not flat and matte. They impart shine and hues to your hair. The "Just for Men" products are anachronistic; try L'Oreal Freia.

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/27/2009 11:49:09 AM | | If that's what they chose..but personally speaking I love a man just the way he is..gray hair....nothing wrong with that. | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/27/2009 1:00:05 PM | Very few people can get away with a head of gray hair. If you aren't one of them who can pull of gray hair, color it! | |
|
| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/27/2009 6:28:48 PM | | I agree with you! I think men who color their hair makes them look older & trying to look younger. I personally like gray hair & am not going to color mine. The rest of us ages why shouldn't our hair? | |
|
| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/27/2009 8:16:07 PM | | I'm amazed that a man has to ask a question like that! Don't they all know already how much we woman love a man with grey or salt & peper hair. If I had a choice, those would be the hair colors I would rather see on my man! | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/27/2009 8:39:21 PM | I realize this is a double standard, but I am not fond of a man coloring his hair at all. Typically, they are not very good at keeping it up (roots aren't cool) or they use a color that is inappropriate for them (too dark, too red etc). Not ALL are guilty, but many that I have come across.
Just go au naturale, we like that!!!!

|
| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/28/2009 12:08:42 PM | I would never be able to tolerate spending the time to color my hair.........it's gray and it's staying that way so I sure wouldn't expect a guy to color his........ It's just so boring to spend an hour just sitting there with this gunk on your head and then having to do roots..........I did it once and it just wasn't worth it to me! | |
|
| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/28/2009 12:29:16 PM | Definitely not! I like man with a bit of gray at the temples, sideburns or a head full. Very, very distinguished looking and SEXY! Oh, and if there's some gray on the chest, EVEN BETTER! | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 1/28/2009 12:31:36 PM | In today's competive marketplace for jobs it may just get you pass the initial interview so that you can show your talent as well as experience depending on the job your seeking. I believe I just saw a commericial that shows just that. The sad fact is no matter what chances are you will be interviewed by a younger person and if my memory serves me right I remember when I was young thinking why are all these old people around. If it gives you an edge then do it. it's hard enough to find a decent job without the gray factor being the decideing factor. I no longer have to worry about that any more thank God but I would definetly opt for the younger look if I had to. It's also in fashion to be bald and that can also make you look younger. Maybe even an earing if you want the Mr. Clean look! As far as woman that are old enough to concider dating I have never found the gray thing to be a factor. I earned every one of them! Now the fact that I have more hair on my face than my head is what I call a reverse facelift! | |
|

reverse facelift! Now, THAT'S funny!!! ...and I agree that bald is now fashionable, and can make a man look much younger....wish we women had such an option....not to go bald, but to have an alternative to take years off of our life....*sigh*
