Let's be the generation that doesn't color the gray to be what it 'used to be'.
I say we color the gray... oh... orange? bright blue?

Personally, I like men with hair. I don't care what color, but yeah, I do dig some gray or white in there. I think our tastes change as we evolve.

I haven't done the purple or pink in my hair in awhile. Working in offices that have dress codes really cuts down on some individuality. Not sure I would enjoy a man having colors like that in his hair. I know I don't care for the black color some men use.

well i know my daughter really thinks i should do it. for job and social reasons. the discussion i once had with some girls in the church group though went like this:

we are going to have a party and add hi lights to our hair

my reply: god already gave me silver hilites.

Now there's a different take on the issue. Why should the kids be the only ones walking around with purple hair?

Personally, I'm just going to let the gray come in. As long as I've got some hair, I don't care what color it is.

Any change in hair color male or female has got to be done well, kept up meticulously and professionally. You can spot a bad dye job from a mile away. My BF's friend came over one night and he looked like he had a ferret on his head. It went silvery grey to pitch black over night. Lame.

I DO NOT COLOR MY HAIR. I PERSONALLY AM TURNED OFF BY MEN WHO COLOR THEIR HAIR, MUSTACHES, BEARDS, ONLY BECAUSE THEY USUALLY DO A VERY BAD JOB OF IT AND IT WOULD BE BETTER LEFT GRAY.

sorry about all caps! I've seen bad dye jobs, it usually looks very fake, too dark, too monotone, too dull.

YES!!

It takes years off and makes them look (and probably feel) much younger. Never underestimate the psychological boost covering the grey can give to both men and women.

If the man absolutely does not want to cover the grey, fine. But I suspect most of us would find ourselves that bit more attracted to someone with less grey, rather than more. It's not mutton trying to be lamb; rather it's about making the best of ourselves!

I'm not ashamed of my age. I've done my utmost through my life to view whatever age I am as the best age to be.

And during the warmer months I spend a lot of time doing physical work with people who are mostly considerably younger. I get a big kick out of matching and sometimes exceeding what they can physically do. For me being the grey haired dude running circles around those half my age is a lot more fun than being the guy whose hair color belies his actual age.

When my hair started to turn a lot of friends suggested I color it. I figured that would just set me up for the inevitable day when I'd have to make a sudden switch to full on grey rather than just naturally make a smooth transition.

I adopted a philosophy that every grey hair represents at least a hundred smiles in my life, and I'm getting happier by the moment.

I don't begrudge others their personal choices. That's just the philosophy that works best for me.

^^^Some women dye their hair, sometimes it's black, sometimes it's blonde, sometimes they change their age on their profile (I'm sure dropping 10 years off) and start a new one every month. But rarely do you see a woman with grey hair - they/we all dye it. I steak mine, covers the pesky greys.

I love a guy with grey hair. I love a guy that shaves it off. I love a guy with a full head of hair. Guys look great with hair or no hair - sexy as hell. The only thing I don't like is bald with a ponytail of 10 hairs or a comb over.

Yes, they should color their hair if it makes them feel good and look better. However, most men use cheap crap like grison formula, tonics, and out of the bottle junk and it looks awful! If you're going to do it, have it professionally done. Then you must be willing to maintain it by having your roots touched up every two weeks.

I'm sorry ladies, but I absolutely refuse to color my gray. Nor will I hide my bald spot with a combover.

Actually, I have white hair in my beard, and maybe a few white hairs on my head.

I earned them!

Oh, and you don't need to cover your gray either.

I don't feel it's necessary and prefer the natural look. Todays society puts far too much emphasis on trying to look young/younger. The natural process of aging is nothing to be ashamed of! I don't bother trying to hide my silver/grey hairs and don't really care if others feel I should do. I don't buy into the dogma!

But if it's something you feel you want to do...then by all means, give it a go!

I watched an episode of "Blue Bloods" with Tom Selleck at the beginning of the season and noted his hair and stash had been dyed. I don't know why the producers felt the need to do this. He kinda reminded me of Groucho Marx.

Didn't like the look at all.

I started going gray at about 40.
Full head of hair, just..gray.

When I get a hair cut I tell the barber to just cut the gray out...he doesn't think I'd look good bald.

..sigh.. run wut ya brung
