| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/16/2006 6:18:48 PM | | Some men look amazing with grey. I agree with one of the posters though. Sometimes dyed hair doesn't look quite right. But hey, try it and if it works for you...by all means. | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/16/2006 6:53:12 PM | | I think most guys look really good with grey hair. It just seems to add something positive to them. There is one very good looking guy at work who has a full head of grey hair. Too bad he is married-BOO HOO!! | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/16/2006 7:13:09 PM | Now since Richard Gere does not post here ..gorgous man, gorgous hair
If you have grey hair dye it ..it will turn yellow over time If you have silver hair ..keep it but make sure you visit a good stylist to keep it bright

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/16/2006 7:40:23 PM | Personally, I like grey hair (I prefer to call it silver) ... don't have to spend hours with the shoe polish every few weeks and I can be found easier when I'm wandering around hopelessly in the dark.

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/17/2006 4:26:02 AM | | My head hair is more pepper than salt but my chin hair is just about white now. On the advice of a male friend I bought some Grecian Formula 16 to go in my beard. It didn't work. I've decided to hell with it, just be natural. Significantly, no woman has ever told me to color it. | |

why is it that men seem to get sooo much more attractive with age and most woman just get old? Mae what you stated above is really your personal attitude.
I think as an 'older woman' I am comfortable with myself and dont percieve myself as looking old. I adjusted my picture to look older as a matter of fact
Grey or salt n pepper hair on men .... gives a distinguished look, very masculine and attractive. I agree with another post about character. To me character brings about certainty and an undenying sense of wisdom....it's extremely attractive.

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/18/2006 5:18:29 AM | Hi fox the nice architectural rendering is how the water front of Liverpool should look, but council in their wisdom have decided to build a swimming pool instead. and thats why I like the silver foxes, they use (and can spell) words like architectural, hey i may even check out your profile | |

Actually I am quite comfortable in my skin, more confident, self assured, its been a journey of self-discovery over the years. I like me now. I probably could not have said that even 10 years ago. The statement I made regarding most woman getting old was not an attitude, but an observation made by a group of us people watchers, The consensus was that most males we have come in contact with over the years have become considerably more attractive whereas the females have not faired so well. Thats all. To go back to the original thread " Should men color the gray", well my personal preference, keep the gray.

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/18/2006 5:34:27 PM | | Did you know if you take a roomful of men over 40-ish then the ones that go grey have a full head of hair? It's the ones losing their hair that don't. Seems strange, but check it out and you will find as a general rule it is true. Nah! Be happy with yourself as you are and don't try to change it. | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/18/2006 7:37:00 PM | Grey is always better than the alternative....but I think you're right. I have almost too much hair...and nearly all of it is white.
But my friends who are going bald are still dark haired.
Interesting observation....

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/18/2006 9:22:47 PM | I personally do NOT like a man to color his hair... get a perm... I do not like that at all. I happy to like a man who is balding... who has salt and pepper hair or even all gray. Why be ashamed of who you are and how old you are? I want a man to be a man and dying hair are for the foo foo women NOT foo foo men.. LOL | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/21/2006 10:49:08 AM | | I was wondering that myself,I have a mixed colored goatee and my kids are telling me to dye it but I just dont feel it natural to do so,I guess if my significant other (when that time comes again) wants me to,I would really consider it | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/21/2006 1:19:31 PM | | I have always felt men age more gracefully then women. Just have a look at TV news anchors. Mature women are rare but the sophisticated older man anchor is the norm. You would never see the likes of Walter Chronkite dying his hair. Loveswood you should not compromise what you feel comfortable with in order to please someone , or for that matter to attract someone. Be true to yourself and that special lady will love you just as you are. Age is a state of mind as far as im concerned. Even with colored locks you are as old as you feel. | |

by sum1reel: "...what women really find attractive is the SECURITY that an older man brings to the table.....they are generally accomplished and established, and don't need to worry about how the next bunch of bills are gonna get paid.....this fosters a sense of well being for a woman that translates into a feeling of attraction!
I have to disagree with you here. I find men with salt and pepper hair especially attractive and have felt that way for the last decade. I find them sexy because they ARE mature MEN not boys. Their security appeal doesn't apply as I am quite capable of caring for my own security in life. At this stage I don't need a man to provide anything for me other than companionship and enjoyment... yet still I choose an older gentleman. They can relate to me better and I find everything more gratifying (conversations, etc.).

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/21/2006 7:32:57 PM | Just my own personal opinion......gray hair on a man is SEXY, SEXY, SEXY! And it has nothing to do with financial security or whatever that crap was i read elsewhere in the thread. It has to do with the fact that i think gray is gorgeous on a man and it is a major turn on! I color my hair, because i don't feel sexy with gray hair. But for some reason seeing it on a man turns me on! That being said, coloring one's hair is a personal decision and should be done to please that person, not anyone else. | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/21/2006 8:12:41 PM | | I think it's a great idea. But, you have to go with what makes you comfortable. I look better coloring my hair than walking around with multi-colored hair (natural and gray). | |
|
| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/22/2006 7:11:15 AM | OMG... a man with silver or white hair....what a turn on. Add a matching goatee and mustache....
Wait...that sounds like Colonel Sanders.
