Seriously, I dated a man that was considerably older and had the most beautiful white hair/mustache/goatee and eventhough I'm not terribly impressed with him (lol), he was extremely handsome.

Of course! The Law of Conservation of Compliments does not apply here.

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/22/2006 12:26:43 PM | This thread just won't go away.
I think a man should do whatever he wants to do - it's his hair - I have no preference either way. AND I would hope men don't have a problem with women colouring the gray

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/22/2006 6:43:44 PM | Men should colour their hair if they want to. A lot of people just don't know how to look good. Young or old. They have no idea of style and taste. If we men do it, do it right....most women don't | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/22/2006 8:39:27 PM | | If mine would just finish falling out... I would not have to worry about cutting what little I have... much less coloring it. I'm too cheap for a hair cut! $10 for a hair cut with only $2 worth of hair. Coloring it is not an option! | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/23/2006 4:50:59 AM | | Lazy, if it's that scarce, you could always do the 'buzz' thing. Personally, I kinda like that look too. Actually, hair is not a deciding factor for me unless it's in long, nasty dreds. | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/23/2006 6:13:07 AM | Grey...white...silver hair on men is soooooooooo hot!! Definately sexy!! | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/23/2006 3:23:59 PM | I just let mother nature take care of it... and keep the drains cleaned out!
I do cut my hair myself... I dont let anyone watch because it probably looks kinda funny!

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/24/2006 7:41:03 AM | | lol...probably no funnier than me trying to cut the hair out of the dogs ears with men's nose hair clippers...lol | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/24/2006 8:19:45 AM | | I love silver hair on a man. But not all salt and pepper types attract me. What I mean is when it is half grey and half of its own natural color, it depends on what the natural color is, it could be ugly. My ex b/f had a head of half grey and half black hair, although I encouraged him to leave it the way as is, (expected it would grow into all silver eventually) he later dyed it black and looked much younger and so charming. But I wasn't in love with him because of his hair. | |

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/24/2006 10:22:41 AM | I have been colouring me hair for the past year or so... I do not take the bus much at all as I have a car and truck and my motorcycle...but when I did once I was offered a seat to many times. Then I had one old lady make some comment to me over something that was going on..that we old folk should stick together. In fact I look more like 65+ with my hair the way it was. When I colour it I have been told I look more 35ish to 40ish then 65+.
I got my gray or should I say PURE WHITE hair coming in within a year of getting married. I got married at 20 years old. Now why did it start then and not before...? Before I got married my relationship was fine...once married to her...she changed almost the same day as we said " I DO " in church. From that point on it was like world war III everyday with her. The marriage lasted almost 20 full years... Why did I hang in there for so long...? Well I hate to fail and marriage is something that I wanted it to work...but she wanted to be 100% all boss and me to be a puppy dog at her feet.....all the time.
So I went pure white at a rate that is not funny. Now I look in the mirror and wonder...who is that old fart looking back at me....it can not be me....
So I colour it so that I do not get asked for my old age discount card or asked if I have one or would like to get one. That hurts me very deeply and there has been a number of times I have left a store a little teary eyed over some stupid comment someone has made.
Just last week I had one women say to me....you are..what....about 76 or so...right..? She was 40 years old... I had to leave before I would say something very rude to her.
This is what a high stress marriage does to a guy....he ages WAY beyond his real years. Now I have more 60+ females trying to pick me up then anything else. I even had one come up to me when I was out at a place getting something to eat...she gave me her number right out of the blue.....she was about 64 to 68 I figure.... That really hurts.

| Should men color the gray Posted: 5/25/2006 1:53:19 PM | | Personally, I love grey, silver hair on a man, but if he chooses to color it then why not? I must confess I am a real sucker for grey, silver beards, would not want to see that spoiled. Just my preference. | |
