It certainly is more beautiful in appearance..and theres nothing like the subtleties..like when trhe wind blows a womans hair, or she twirls a piece of it, the smell of her shampoo...and they have more options to 'change things up' (and not necessarily into braids so they can be 'haltered' lol), which is critical for most men...who need variety and things kept fresh (recycle the p*ssy as Chris Rock would say! lol). Its nice when a woman with hair makes subtle changes to it...
And its nice to..just FEEL long hair...brush it, comb it, wash it.. depending on how cosy and touchy feely you are...
Short haired women CAN be attractive, but ya gotta have BOTH the right shaped head, and ESPECIALLY a face that can carry it.
One advantage short haired women MIGHT have...its easier to don wigs! lol its all about change ups! lol
And hey..its easier to drag a long haired woman to your cave! LMAO Joking! | |

Some women look really good with short hair though.
That's something you most often hear from other women...usually other women who have short hair. I'm not sure how much of it is trying to bring the other woman down, or keep her from being more attractive so that all the 'short haired' women are on an equal standing; because I have experienced hearing the cat pack complain about the one long haired woman and how she goes through too much trouble to be attractive to men.

Yup. Short hair reminds me too much of a guy. Halle is hot....in 'Storm' gear from the X-Men flick, with the white wig, you know, the LONG hair wig. With short hair? No thanks. By definition, the perfect woman (for me) means long hair, at least to the shoulders. Sure, if I were already married to someone who cut her hair real short, I wouldn't file for divorce or anything, but she'd get real tired of having me staring at every long haired beauty instead of her. Women aren't as focused on that area of appearance as much as men are, so they often forget how much what they look like means to us (of course, if we suddenly came home a foot shorter, they'd notice! Women like height in their guys as much as guys like long hair on their women!). Example: even though I make it very clear that I like their hair beautiful and straight, the way it is when I meet them, several of my GF's in the past have come home with curly perms, saying things like,'Isn't it great! It's CURLY!'; then they get really disappointed when I say no.
Demi Moore goes bald but didn't lost her femininity at all.

Maybe not. But I can assure you that it's more fun to be admired and considered hot, than it is to be completely unnoticed, like you're not even there. Most younger women get more attention than they can imagine from the moment they acquire any feminine sex appeal at all; and these days, that's pretty early because the fashions and hairstyles of even schoolgirls mimic adult women pretty well. Then at some point in their lives, men completely stop looking at them, and it's a shock. That happens sooner if you don't pay attention to how you look. Today, you have several celebrities well into their 50's and 60's who retain their attraction, and guess what? Common denominator? Long, beautiful hair. Want an easy comparison?

It's not like long hair is washed every day and 15 minutes is about it unless you roll it or straighten it.
My word it must take 2 days to bathe and shave..WTH????
A lot of women let their hair self dry, especially long hair.
Men like both depending on the woman.
I would suggest NOT having it really long and having him come home to a big surprise of the 60s pixie..Can tell you from experience its takes an electric shock for them to recover sometimes.
It's all about balance and the whole look. The face, body and hair.
I always feel I needed more make up with it short since my mid forties.
I tell you washing my hair is a lot easier than painting fine lines and perfect makeup application.
Now talk about hot..running make up is nasty. | |

I do that, I dry my fringe but the rest..it never sees a hairdryer nor straighteners anymore..takes waaaay too much time to do all of that!
Funnily enough I've been called 'high maintenance' because I don't blow dry my hair....???????
I love my long hair..it's not going to change yet..and I won't be blow drying it anytime soon either... | |

Brush it in the morning...daily shower includes daily hair wash and condition, comb it out, air dry, brush it, quick style involving one or more: clip it back, wear it loose, twist it up, braid it. It's done. I never use a heat producing appliance on it. I'd say a total of about 15 minutes every morning is devoted to my hair at the very most.
And styling cost? I spend about $20 once every few months to get the ends trimmed.
Most men say "don't cut it". I'm 53 and have only had one man in my entire life say "you should cut your hair" although I've had plenty of short haired women tell me to cut it. | |

No matter how long it takes for a woman to get ready - if she makes plans in advance there's literally no wait time (unless she's just late for everything, in which case her hair isn't the problem). The only time you'd have to wait is if you called last minute. | |

Men have been brainwashed with the vision of the long-haired beauty galloping naked on her horse at the beach in the sunset and the long hair flowing in the wind and the,....hey, guys bought it. I remember, as early as high school I would hear some of the neanderthal knuckle-draggers saying really lame things like "hey check out the short-haired one - looks like a dike to me"....I'm talkin' really ugly stuff; thus a "look" gets stereotyped.

I live in Colorado and have no problem going out in sub-freezing weather with a slightly wet head. I often go to work with my hair in a damp braid or pony-tail.

Quite right. Though they would probably take up issues with Ms. Berry's short cut do, just because they love having something to grab onto. Some men will tell you that they love grabbing onto a full length of hair, while hitting it doggy style. Pffft.
However, I don't actually have short hair though it could be longer. If I could, I would keep my hair in braids because I never could deal with it. I wear my hair down and styled, for the most part.
I have yet to have any issues with men, though. There have never been any complaints about the length of my hair, and how I style it. Perhaps these men weren't bold enough to speak up, but even so, I have a thick length of hair and if they have any complaints, they're welcomed to deal with this.

Long hair is plain and boring, especially if it's straight. Short hair exposes the facial features without hiding anything. Therefore it makes a pretty woman prettier, and vise-versa, which is why many people don't like it. There aren't many who can naturally pull it off.
Curly is always a plus, and straight hair is only nice if cut into an interesting style. | |

I think most men follow the pack....if one says he likes long blonde hair, shapely women they all do. It takes a unique person to stand out from the crowd without becoming a weirdo. 
I personally like men with shoulder length hair but not every man looks good with that length, the same can be said about women's hair. | |

Maybe if the pack ingrains hair preference very early on. Not sure to what extent the preference is hardwired in and what is taught by society.
As long as I can remember I've always preferred long(er) hair--from barely shoulder length to butt.
I wish I could recall a study I've seen on hair and mate selection that basically said: Hair length, fullness, and shine are ways of visually communicating the health of the individual. So maybe some males need to see more hair in order to stimulate hardwired attraction.
