but women who are naturally really beautiful can look amazing with hair of any length.
as an example Mariska Hargitay from "Law & Order: SVU" with her short bob, is WAY hotter than any other woman on that series wioth hair of any length, and I submit, IMO, hotter than the vast majority of women in her age range, with any length of hair, short, long, or intermediate. | |

It's easy to care for and I can have my hair washed and ready to go in less than 10 mins. Whether or not men like it is strictly on them. I went on a date were the man I had "just met" asked me if I would ever consider growing it long for him? Most likely not is what my reply was, I told him as nicely as possible that if he wanted long hair he had two choices, either grow some himself or find another female with long hair! Oh well, he lost out on that one. | |

A woman will look feminine even with short hair, its not the hair at all, a woman's face is naturally rounder than a males, so thats where feminine and masculine features come in. Having a beautiful feminine face is more important than having long hair, for example, Natalie Portman at the end of V for Vendetta.  | |

Posted: 7/6/2010 9:04:32 AM | I don't believe differences in length can make a woman inherently more or less feminine. That's more down to the entirety of how they present themselves/behave. If it were true about length, long haired men would thus be more feminine, but that's not the case i'm very sure. It's down to a myriad of things.
In actual answer to the question, I don't mind either, it's about the person's style and how that works for me, does it fit or not I mean. Although in honesty I do tend to be more attracted to women with shorter cuts, it can seem quite playful and sassy which can be quite alluring, it also usually doesn't hide her face much. | |

Posted: 7/6/2010 6:05:52 PM | I have long hair. I have long curly hair. Im trying to grow it out a bit longer then donate it to the cancer children. That said, I love my long hair. The problem is it gets too tedious, too much effort, so much shampoo... and when you sweat....really.... ugh.
But I do not try to hide my face at all. I like the versatility of long hair. Short do's give you one or two variations. Long hair gives you a world of pissibilities.
I like my man with some hair, althought I'm earning to appreciate the very short, almost none there style.

that being said...women generally look better with longer hair...to themselves, other women, and esp. us men.
Generally, as well...long hair (maybe its ingrained in us thru our cultures PAST as well as prsent) but generally it is acceptable to equate femininity with long hair. Africans... might not necessarily concur with this generalization!
Interesting to note... I have many female friends who are lesbians, and most of them (esp. the dom top girls) have short hair... some of them also have more beefy or muscular bodies... I only know one outta many I know who has long hair...well had. She just cut uit off.

imilarly...short hair has been more associated generally and historically within our western culture (and others) with the male gender. Samson would beg to differ!
Some Norse cultures had men with long hair, as was also the case in the East. So it depends on the trends of the time and culture...
in OUR present day... how many of you ( esp. you guys) mistook a guy for a chick... based on the head of hair you saw? the most classic is when someone says "hey a hot chick is coming' an it turns out to be a long haired guy??
Also, much in our present society further promotes this gender-based hair designation... like the media, and the products available for womens hair as opposed to men.,. When was the last time you saw a GUY flipping his shiny mane in a shampoo commercial?
at any rate... how a woman looks in relation to her hair depends on HER...her features, head shape, etc. and what SUITS her best; and what is attractive, in terms of hair length is in the eye of the beholder and depends on their personal preferences.
in the end, long hair or not, if shes hot...

Now, no matter what you look like, there are going to be some people attracted to you. But if you want to maximize your chances with the opposite sex, you go with what the majority find attractive. For men, that means a woman would grow her hair relatively long, rather than short. As someone else wrote, if you can be mistaken for a guy, that's not a good thing, so 'pixie' cuts aren't going to be attractive to many men at all, no matter how many women tell you it looks good. Look at what men pay to look at. Women with long healthy hair. Not bald women. Sure, if you have a '10' body, there will always be some guys interested in having sex with you; but all other things being equal, the long haired beauty wins. Sheesh, doesn't anyone ever watch beauty pageants any more and notice what the women look like? Or what penthouse and playboy models look like? That's what men want to see. Ignore the evidence at your own risk. Or, you can simply join one of those mid eastern religions that let you cover yourself up completely so what you look like isn't so important. | |

Growing your hair long won't make anyone more approachable if they're unattractive and a complete as*hole. Maybe you think hair has some kind of magical hynotic or brainwashing abilities but I don't. The irony is that most of the women who end up with a very short hair style are usually cuter and more feminine looking so it is actually a sign of greater femininity not the other way around. People taking the whole hair thing so seriously eludes me because I'm not the type of person that is really picky over such superficial things and I don't have one type of person that I'm attracted to. I can find a lot of women attractive at both ends of the spectrum. Petite, really muscular, chubby, extremely short, extremely tall. All types of people can have something really attractive about them. | |
