There used to be a commercial here for Cravendale milk...the cows want it back..I found that quite disturbing and to this day refuse to buy that particular brand. (I mean, milk's milk surely?)
oh yeah...lol...that was freaky...
them cows was really creepy...
u felt like stalked by them or something.

Posted: 7/6/2008 10:48:01 AM | I too wish I could get an ad blocker for both radio and TV. When I have some more cash I'll get a satellite radio and use that instead of the regular radio Good way to stick it to the advertisers!
Advertising has its place, particularly in print media. I pay more attention to ads in the newspaper or even on restaurant placemats. With print media it is less obtrusive and is generally more informative. One can skip over the print ads that aren't interesting, unlike the obtrusive radio and TV ads. | |

Shampoo, toothpaste, you name it. Do they actually believe showing me computer animated 'shampoo' cells infusing with computer-animated 'hair' will make me believe this is how the product actually works? Or toothpaste. They always show labs and labs full of scientists with clipboards running around trying to figure out the latest breakthrough in tooth-protecting effectiveness. Uh-huh, sure there. So you added more bleach, then.
Oh, and lastly commercials that actually go against the product they're selling. Like that McD's commercial where people try and eat a Big Mac and end up making a mess. They're basically saying, "Don't buy this burger if you have anything remotely important to do, because you're just gonna get this **** all over you." Good one.
Maybe I just look to far into these things lol? | |

And a year or two ago they wrote on women's stomaches to sell another medication-it seems they tend to target women... Talk about the eww! factor And the milk that's supposed to be so good people cry when they spill it. I *really* don't like the commercial where a ditzy lady sprays tear gas into a car salesman's eyes and thinks he's happy when he's in pain....Talk about dumb! And yes some of the local commercials are bad too....Car dealers, appliance discounters and furniture stores, among others...I usually like animal commercials and the talking gnome, probably because I have seen lots worse....The Quaker statue handing out snack bars and the BK masked guy are definitely odd though...I'm sure there are others, these are the ones that come to mind now... | |

I sure wish more people who did commercials looked at the commercials that Budweiser has done over the years. Who can ever forget the Budweiser frogs? I smile every time I think of those frogs croaking out Bud-WIS-RRR!!

-Proactive commercials
-Maltese the commercial that involves the guy a straw and that annoying chick i wanna kick

Razor commercials
"I'm your Venus, I'm your fire"
A bunch of skinny, sun-tanned women, that can take 1 swipe of the razor from ankle to knee without rinsing between?? WTF? And their legs look oiled.. ridiculous.
After shaving (With a fresh "venus" no less) mine just look dry and razor burnt.
I could rant on and on..
But there are some very good commercials too..
The Mars Bar commericals.
Viagra commercials.
Any commercial that makes me laugh.
