Posted: 5/18/2006 3:40:58 PM | I am defnatly a morning person...not that I have a choice..my job has me up at 4am monday thru friday lol..so past 3 years i've had to adjust to a morning scheduel,I used to be a huge night owl and missed it the first while.. but I LOVE it now...get to watch the sunrise a lot more often...less traffic on the roads..and its so peaceful..definatly get a lot more out of my day being a morning person  | |

Sundays I tend to sleep in a bit longer. As someone said to me though You waste the day by not being a morning person and if you sleep till noon half the day is gone | |

Posted: 5/18/2006 6:17:25 PM | Well...I"ve always been known to be a Night Owl...I was born @ 10"03pm...would have been earlier...but the Doc was late...so the nurses told my mother not to push!! LOL AS IF EH!!
Anywhoo.... I'm not always late... lol...but have been known to be a little slow in the morning...especially since I've been living with Fibromyalgia (FM) & Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME, formally Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).... However... I"m always happy and perky... just a little slow...but NEVER GRUMPY... the only time I get pissed off is after a lot of stuff has happened... and it takes A LOT to get me out of my happy place!!

I can't sleep past 7 am on weekends. Funny thing is I was the total opposite 20 years ago when I either worked night shift or would go out partying until 5 am then sleep all day and do it all over again. It's funny how I made a complete turnaround. | |

So much so that I have a distinct morning personality (according to my ex)
"Morning Jay's" voice is about 3 octaves below "Mid-Day Jay"
If he didn't sleep well or went out drinking, "Morning Jay" tends to hang out for most of the day.
A positive response is a Yawn.
Negative, is a grunt.
After a cup of coffee it is usually safe to speak to him. Hey you might even get a Yawn back...
Seriously though, Takes me awhile to get going. But every morning 6:30AM when the alarm goes off, "Morning Jay" takes over until caffeine is taken in.
Gets better from there!

Posted: 5/20/2006 7:32:35 AM | I notice that often I am the only person posting early in the morning so I suppose that makes me an early bird. Not that I necessarily thrive in the wee hours but that the birds and the sun wake me up. SERIOUSLY LIGHT sleeper here.
Never up later than 8AM though even if I go to bed at 4! I am usually done in by 11 though. | |

Might have come from growing up on a horse farm, having to muck out 19 stalls before catching the school bus at 7:30am, but I'm always up as soon as the birds start chirping every morning...which is about 5am during the summer it seems, lol.
I definitely find I'm most productive and motivated in the early mornings though, that's for sure. The pooch and I have already been for a hike and a swim (well him, not me, for the swimming in the marsh ), spent 2 hours in the garden, and posted in the forums off and on in between waiting for two coats of paint to dry in the kitchen. | |
